Yeah, I'm aware of it too as I'm a school bus driver. March 14th was my last day. Schools will probably not reopen until September. Alberta has closed until September. So has BC. No way they reopen in Ontario or Quebec with their Covid 19 numbers so other provinces will probably follow suit to keep things the same across Canada. Ontario is optimistically looking at May 1st to reopen but that's not realistic knowing what we know now. If the pandemic recedes they may loosen restrictions in the warmer summer months but there is a concern of a second wave in the fall & into the winter.

Which will be extended if needed. No way, the Liberals put millions into poverty or on the streets while they tell us to stay home & businesses remain closed.

A favourite of mine was Bomber fullback Bob "Hoss" Houmard. If anyone remembers his style of play, a big 235 lb straight ahead fullback then the nickname sure fit. I remember Jack Matheson used to love the guy. Another personal favourite of mine was fullback Jerome Bettis who was called The Bus. Another of the nicknames I miss are the defensive line Front Fours. Many years ago, the Ottawa Rough Riders had Capital Punishment. The Stampeders had The Four Trees. The Eskimos had Alberta Crude. In the NFL, the LA Rams had The Fearsome Foursome & The Vikings had The Purple People Eaters. Pittsburgh Steelers had The Steel Curtain that originally was only the name of their front four but later encompassed their entire defense. The Miami Dolphins had The Killer Bees to describe their DL & Chicago had The Monsters Of The Midway. In the CFL, the Bombers coined the nickname of The Hogs for their offensive line a decade before the Redskins called theirs by the same name. Bill Frank was the Head Hog. Too bad nicknaming offensive & defensive lines have gone out of style. It really added to the games. The media & fans would love it when they'd talk about Capital Punishment vs The Hogs.

Things will change, mark my words. I doubt status quo will remain. The question is how much will change? China manufactures most of the world's pharmaceuticals. What's stopping them from controlling who gets what, when & what price? Trudeau may think China is our friend & is filled with great admiration for them but they are our enemies & if allowed would crush us & our way of life. You have to wonder how things were allowed to get the way they were. No one seemed to care, I guess.

I sincerely hope that the Globalism experiment of countries without borders, refugees allowed to cross unfettered into sovereign countries & supply chain management where we see both China & the US dictate what & how much countries get regarding ventilators & N95 masks. We need to take care of ourselves first as a country. We need to bring manufacturing back to Canada. Make things here like we used to. 3M has a manufacturing plant in Canada but it doesn't make masks. That has to change. It may be cheaper to manufacture goods in China but I'd be content to pay more knowing Canadians had jobs & we had enough to supply all Canadians with products we used to make here. I'm of the belief that will all change in the coming years. Do we want to be dependent upon the whims of dictators, unfriendly governments & nutcases in the White House when it comes to our healthcare & food supply chains? I don't.

Seems to me that in 2010, a year after the H1N1 pandemic when I went for my flu shot in October the H1N1 vaccine was included in that year's shot so it was also just a year to have it on the market.
