  1. Something like, "The Canadian Football League recognizes that mistakes were made from the on field officials to the Eye In The Sky. In order to maintain the integrity of the league, we acknowledge that we must improve the level of officiating to ensure this does not happen again". That might help.
  2. So it was completed. That's great news.
  3. That's a 15 year old upgrade plan. Looks like it won't be happening.
  4. Agree the ref should be disciplined. I don't know about being fired but he needs to be held accountable in some way.
  5. I hope the ref was demoted to holding the sticks.
  6. I remember yelling at the tv, "Mike Miller? WTF???" Frigging LaPo.
  7. LaPo can neuter an earthworm.
  8. O'Shea: Keep it on the ground. Run out the clock. LaPo: Okay. I'll just run Harris up the gut thru the 1 or 2 technique for 2 yards. O'Shea: Sounds good. Do it. In other words Mike, stick to something you know a little bit about, defense. Hall needs all the help he can get. Maybe this off season look for an OC who has a bit more imagination as a playcaller. Both need to go.
  9. No, your question is a valid one. And it's one a lot of us ask almost every game.
  10. He told LaPo to run the ball so obviously he doesn't want to run up the score. Thing is, as someone pointed out, just running it up the gut for 2 yards on first down every series may be not what O'Shea envisioned.
  11. After 29 years why can't we demand a Cup? It should be our time. The Argos have won twice since 2010 which is total bullshit.
  12. Sacre bleu!
  13. Narcissist, loved the attention.
  14. Where did you grow up & where do you live now?
  15. Yeah, jack has been dead for 20 years now so it's not like a lot of fans would know.
  16. I'll let Noeller answer your broadcast question. As far as HH goes, it stands for Happy Honker. Back in the 70's & 80's on CJOB, Jack Wells would have an unsung hero award. Not for the guy who was the best Bomber on the field or for someone who scored the winning touchdown for the Bombers. It was for a player who worked hard all game long or did something special as a ST player. Someone on the team who normally isn't recognized but stood out in Wells' mind. He called it the Happy Honker Award & he asked fans coming home from the games at Canad Inns Stadium to honk their horns if they agreed with him. They always did.
  17. GeeBrr says Bob Irving isn't very good? Yep, just a well balanced comment while stumbling around in the wilderness.
  18. With O'Shea that will be a dream.
  19. No reason to think this season won't end the same as the last few. Making the playoffs isn't good enough anymore. We have to win the Grey Cup.
  20. There was a late 1980's TV series about nurses & doctors in Viet Nam called China Beach.
  21. How many Grey Cups did Lancaster win? 1. How many did Ploen win? 4. Nuff said on that.
  22. That post I made was from the Kelvin Universe where the Bombers have just won the last 6 consecutive Grey Cups.
  23. Kyle Walters isn't firing O'Shea so the only change we can hope for is that the 2 Coordinators get the boot. Hopefully that would be enough of a philosophical change needed to put us over the top next year if we gas this season in the playoffs. I mean, what else would they do? Not a lot. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if things remained status quo even if we lose in the playoffs this season with all the coaches returning. I certainly don't get the impression Wade Miller has marched into Walters office & told him that if they lose again then changes will be coming, do you? I sure get the impression this coaching staff isn't under the gun to win.
  24. Yet there they were sitting side by side in the coaches booth all game. Bet that was a quick conversation.
  25. No, don't agree. Nichols is a better passer than Streveler. He recognizes defenses faster but our offense is based on putting a square peg into a round hole. Run on first down, pass on second. LaPo expects all his qbs to run his offense the same way. There's no designing an offense to suit the players he has. He just expects everyone to play in his system no matter what their strengths or weaknesses are. We saw that today for sure.
