  1. Leo played TE & OLB for the Bombers from 1978-82. If the jersey just has normal stripes on the sleeves then it's from 1978 or 79. If it's 1980, it has the Bomber logo with a 50 on top of the arm stripes to mark 50 years as an organization. (It was the Bombers 50th birthday in 1980). In 1981-82, the Bomber logo is on top of the three stripes. 1980 50th anniversary logo:
  2. They always will be.
  3. I wondered what happened to him as he was a pretty good DL. He just disappeared from the CFL. Now, I know why, very, very sad. Just 33. I saw his online DL coaching site. RIP, Craig. Condolences to his wife Chelsea & their family.
  4. Muamba always chased a paycheque rather than a championship. He'd rather play for a winless team as long as they paid the most. He could have gone down as one of the greats. Money rather than championships was his priority.
  5. I saw that, I'd be lying to you if I didn't laugh.
  6. Just remember for every dollar they spend on building high school football stadiums that's just means less money for the classroom.
  7. Will Corporate Winnipeg step up?
  8. There's no Cal State. It's Cal State Fullerton. They dropped their football program years ago.
  9. Aw, damn, damn, damn, damn, DAMN!!
  10. And yet, is hockey failing in Winnipeg? Again?????
  11. Yeah, tough to be away from young kids every weekend.
  12. Yes, former Bomber TE Brian Jack allegedly killed his wife back in the late 80's. I think he had 3 separate criminal trials & was convicted of second degree murder on unsubstantiated evidence in the first trial in 1990 as Jack's wife Christine's body has never been found. He was sentenced to life in prison. His lawyer appealed to the Manitoba Court of Appeal & in 1992 a new trial was granted. The second trial found Jack not guilty & the Crown appealed the outcome. It went to the Supreme Court of Canada who backed the outcome of the second trial. The Crown had a third trial & convicted Jack to 4 years in prison for manslaughter in 1994. Jack's lawyer appealed all the way to the Supreme Court who overturned the Lower Court decision in 1995 & Jack walked away a free man. His daughter feels that Jack knows where her Mother is buried & has appealed to her Father to come clean & confess to her murder as well as tell Police where her mother's remains are but Jack refuses to talk to her. Jack had played in the CFL from 1973-79 for the Bombers & Ottawa. He was an unemployed football player & a decade after he last played the money must have been tight. The night jack's wife died, they had a big argument & she had stormed out of their house in St. Vital & she drove off in their Chevy Blazer never to be seen again. I think just about everyone who knows about this case believes Brian Jack did kill his wife but there was no hard evience to convict as well as no body. However, knowing what we know now about traumatic brain injuries that we didn't know about back then is how brain injuries & head trauma affects & changes behaviour. Although unproven, it may also be safe to say that CTE may have contributed to Jack's behaviour that night. The argument may have triggered something inside Brian Jack that caused him to do a terrible thing. Much like former Blue Bomber Al Brenner suddenly leaving his family in 1986 & disappearing for 12 years. Maybe he also had thoughts of murder & violence on his mind & realized that he had to get away for their safety. Although, before his death in 2012, Brenner always claimed he couldn't explain why he left. Or didn't want to. Just surmising on my part.
  13. Meanwhile, Mark Killam has been the Stamps STC for 15 years. Huff fired Craig in 2009 & replaced him with Killam. Would Dave fire Killam for his brother?
  14. If Kelly threatened her in any way then it is.
  15. Randy Ambrosie is a coward. The shittiest Commissioner the CFL has ever had. Oh look, an Ambrosie sighting coming out of his cave.
  16. How Gretzky could stand with the puck behind the goal watching the play, plotting his next move & no one came in to challenge him was mind boggling.
  17. And Dave hires Craig. Like WTH??? He's a consultant. Stamps would have been better off hiring another position coach.
  18. Hey KBF, I used to buy comics as a kid from about age 7 to 14. I'd buy one or two comics a week, every week. I had hundreds of DC & Marvel Comics. Some Gold Key (Space Family Robinson) & others. But it was DC Comics, Superman, Batman, Hawkman, Superboy, Action Comics, The Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman, Or Marvel's Captain America, Spiderman, X Men, Thor, Fantastic Four, Silver Surfer. All the way back to 1964 & I kept them in pristine shape as well. Except.... only one problem. On these pristine comics, I drew moustaches, beards & long hair on all the characters in every comic book that I had. How much would comics from 1964-71 have fetched me today if they hadn't been ruined by my artistic flair? WHO KNEW?? Lol. Actually, waaaaahh!!
  19. In curling, I don't get the age thing if you're a skip. If as a skip you practice a lot & play in competitive games. I don't know why someone can't play at a high level well into their 50's. Sure, it's a young person's game if you're a career lead or second but skips don't have to sweep except in the house. And don't need the stamina someone twenty years younger would have. Their game is more mental as they're calling the shots & need to stay sharp. By the time they're in their mid 40's, skips may need to play brain games of some kind to keep that edge as part of their training regimen. Trust me, I know that. I started losing my memory of little things in my late 40's. I'd go to the store, get out of my car & think, "Why am I here?" A few times, in my 50's, I remember having a bus full of kids & teachers & on the route we were travelling, suddenly forgetting where I was going. Talk about panicking!! "Where the hell am I going??" Thankfully, that always lasted just a few seconds & my memory would come back. I remember 20 years ago being worried that I was getting Early Onset Dementia or Alzheimer's but other drivers told me it also happened to them. I don't worry about that anymore as I found out that it's just a part of the aging process. So, an older competitive curler like Jennifer Jones would be wise to keep her brain active when training. I wish her the best of luck. Hopefully, she can go out on a high.
  20. Some of the stories in Young's book are hilarious. I'm looking at the paperback right now & thinking I should re-read it for the umpteenth time. House & Joe Pop were the best tandem receivers on the inside bar none. Canadian or American.
  21. Just for the sake of argument, What if the allegations by this coach are found to be not true & the Argos had already tossed Kelly on heresay to placate the fans of other teams calling for his blood. MLSE would be dragged into court & sued for millions of dollars in damages by Kelly. And while it's true MLSE has hundreds of millions of dollars that any judgement found against it would be but a pittance, the damage to the brand would be far, far worse. Let's see what the CFL does about this. I'm not taking Kelly's side. I'm just playing Devil's Advocate here for the sake of discussion.
  22. When a player has a 1.8 million dollar contract, I'm sure the assistant coach would have to prove her allegations that there was wrongdoing in court before Kelly's career is terminated as he could also turn around & sue the Argos. Anyway, she filed a lawsuit & now I'm sure Kelly & the Argos will file a countersuit.
  23. How did the CFL ever miss the Gravy Train??? As a fan, I'd take just one tenth of that growth thrown our way. .
  24. You don't fart around with people's money. He would have to study to get licensed & then take part in some in depth training & guidance from his superiors at work. He would have to put in the work.
  25. The league can't act on heresay or a lawsuit. This will have to go to court.
