  1. Which is your opinion & you are entitled to feel that way. No problem with that & a lot of fans feel the same.
  2. Allen won 3 Grey Cups with 3 different teams. He was the leading passer in the CFL at one time. You can't take that away from him. I used to think he was a lazy kind of player. Extremely talented & got by on that talent but not hard work. But a decade being away has made me appreciate what he accomplished as a player. Job 1 during the season is preparation & video study. & Allen did just that. A player can't be lazy & just gets by with talent alone. Johnny Manziel is proof of that.
  3. Explain overrated.... WOOOOO!
  4. Ray is Top10 but hard to slot him in with the Top 5 all time. Same with Tom Clements. Lanky only won a single GC while Etch put up big regular season numbers in the mid 50's but never won a league championship at all. My Top 5 Doug Flutie Warren Moon Damon Allen Ken Ploen Russ Jackson
  5. Getting old sucks. At 39, he had a great career but the body just can't take the pounding anymore.
  6. Agree on that one. BLM is the better of the 2 qbs IMO. Reilly relies on his big play receivers to make great catches downfield while BLM can throw it deep or go on a ten play 85 yard drive. And don't forget Mitchell lost every one of his starting receivers last season & still played at a fairly high level & won the GC.
  7. I don't understand why you're so upset at me for pointing out that an oversight was made. Let's not let accuracy get in the way here suddenly. I wasn't criticizing TrueBlue4ever. He's done a great job with this poll but I just pointed out a mistake was made & in turn he decided to correct it. He doesn't seem upset about it & just wants to make things right. There's been no harm done. Why would a player like Jim Thorpe who never played slot be listed as one? Is that fair to Thorpe going up against players he never would have been compared to? Same with Tuttle. This Blue Bomber poll has been done right so far so why change it now? If I have offended or upset TrueBlue4ever or anyone else here then I apologize as it was not my intention to do so.
  8. I always felt that Brett seemed nervous when he couldn't be himself in front of the camera. He did flub a lot of lines while Owen seemed a little more at ease than his older brother. Owen was a way better heel than face
  9. Perry Tuttle was a slot. He should have been in this group. Jim Thorpe was a flanker. He should have been in the other group.
  10. He was better at cutting promos as well. Brett often would stumble on his lines.
  11. He was a scout, I believe.
  12. Taman won a Grey Cup as GM. What did Mack win which was nothing?
  13. No but who cares what they think? Only Vince's opinion counts.
  14. There shouldn't be a brand split. If they want 2 shows a week then the best guys should be on both.
  15. He didn't win much in Edmonton last year & look who he had to catch for him. And the last 6 games he sulked on the field. Remember how happy he looked playing us at the end of the year? Their OL sucked as did the run game. Looks like more of the same in BC.
  16. Pretty short list. Nielsen has the Bombers longest play in BB history with a 109 yard pass & run bomb from Ken Ploen to Nielsen that won us the 1965 West Finals. Tuttle was a slot.
  17. I'm hoping Drew Wolitarski can crack the thousand yards receiving barrier. I hope he is moved to slot from boundary receiver where he'd be a lot busier. Daniel Petermann who really showed he has a ton of potential last season when given the chance to compete. He could be another great Canadian receiver.
  18. I meant draft busts. I should have said that. My bad.
  19. Tyson Pencer. There's a name from the past. Anyone care to speculate who the biggest bust in Bomber history was?
  20. We're all judged by what we say here. Good & bad. I can't remember a positive T Burg post recently. To him there is always something wrong. That people here are just buying into the narrative the Bombers want us to buy into. That something is never right. He will argue the opposite if people are happy or satisfied. That's what I take out of T Burg's posts. As I said, we are judged here for what we say, I have no way to psychoanalyze the hidden meaning of something posted. If someone is always negative when good things happen then that to me simply means that person is always negative & may even welcome failure. I'm not into this... "Oh, he's a great fan but he just doesn't show it". I don't believe that. You either are a great fan or you're not. How many times have we read T Burg bitching after a win about something immaterial that happened during the game that had no affect on the score? Like a pick or fumble that turned out to be inconsequential. I mean, that's just typical T Burg. That's how I see it but like 17to85 said it's getting tiring always reading the negative when there shouldn't be any. And T Burg, lest you think you're in my head, I have you on ignore so you're not. The only way I see what you say is when someone quotes you. I read what you say after the fact & I just shake my head.
  21. You know, I've come to realize something. You're not about getting into some posters heads here because in reality they don't really care what you say. I think it comes down to you actually wanting the Bombers to fail. To not have a winning season. To not win a Grey Cup championship. Why else would you always be so negative?
  22. Space.... the FINAL frontier.
