Can you possibly nit pick any further? That was more of a generalized than a specific statement. We do have players that quit playing because they can make more $$$ with a regular job than playing in the CFL. Mostly ST players. Some very good players do leave the game for monetary reasons. We'd all like to see the salary cap go up. Especially with 2 or 3 new leagues starting up. That's all I meant. Did you read the rest of what I said congratulating Goosen? Or doesn't that count?

**** Durant.

This type of stuff is definitely related to the salary cap being too small. This CBA the CFL needs to substantially raise the cap so players may decide to pursue new careers later in their own playing careers. There was no point for Goosen to stay & play football. having said that, he did what he thought was best so can't fault him for that. Wish him all the best. He'll be missed.

Couture issues was lack of size & maybe a bit more of a passive player compared to Goosen. I hope he put on some size, strength & weight this off season along with a new attitude.

Bringing back Hornswaggle as a leprechaun won't help ratings.

The heel turn & comments about Roman Reigns fighting leukemia really wasn't a good thing. Fans may not have liked Reigns as a wrestler but he still is a human being going thru chemo therapy & cancer is something most people can relate to. What he said about Reigns was a huge negative as he could die. I found it mind boggling what they did with Ambrose.

Big Show should have been one of the most dominant wrestler's in WWE but they turned him more times than a top. In the end, he lost all credibility as a wrestler & people stopped caring. It wrecked his career. he should have fought all the face & heel turns knowing what it would eventually do. He became a bit of a joke.

Is it a money thing or just not happy with the direction of his character?

A lot of huge egos over at RF. None more than CRF & a few others. Piss off enough people & his site will implode. -
Shocker but perhaps he was having health concerns & decided it was time to get out. As an aside, at least he didn't leave & sign with the Lions.

The WHL has outgrown small towns like Cranbrook. If a community isn't solidly behind their team they're going to lose it. Clearly, Cranbrook wasn't. Good luck to the Ice in Winnipeg. They're going to need it.

Some coaches are loyal family men. Is Montreal Soddom or Gomoraha?

Elias two turns in two months. Thought only The Big Show did that.

Still think the cap ain't going up? At that price it has to. -
What was the point of Nia Jax being in the men's Rumble? Funny how Strowman jumped in the ring the moment she was tossed out by Rey. And the Rowan thing? Another why moment as well. He's just a brutal wrestler. Fans neither like or respect him. He did suck the life out of that match.

large doesn't necessarily mean most expensive. It would be interesting to know what these teams paid their staffs in comparison to others. I can't see Montreal as a "Go To" destination for coaches.
-
Then why did he sign Jones to such a huge contract & allowed him to have 15-20 assistants? As well as the illegal pre-practice roster players? That is a contradiction.
-
Reynolds had to know spending wildly whether on players or coaches would cause a problem with teams like Montreal, BC & Toronto who don't have the $$$$ to spend like the Riders & also are owners who don't like spending when losing gobs of money. I bet that's where this cap came from. I can see Braley leading the way as he is a famous cheap skate grinding that Lions into the ground. Like he did in Toronto where they've never recovered. The team should be stripped from the guy but that won't happen.

I believe his stock has risen substantially seeing his record of the past 3 seasons. He would have to be closer to one of the highest paid head coaches in a new contract. He'd be a sought after HC if he left after this season. I think a new contract will reflect that. -
Makes sense to me. Why do I have a feeling that this cap on coaches & management may only last a season or two?? There'll be a lot of pushback to either increase the cap substantially from teams or to scrap it all together. Teams can thank the Riders for abusing everything. What did the have, close to 20 coaches last year & a huge scouting staff all the while Jones was the highest paid coach-exec in the CFL? He made sure that he was numero uno that's for sure.

I have read somewhere that LaPo is the highest paid coordinator in the CFL. -

I think this shows how fans have misunderstood the cap on coaches & scouts as well as the slippery slope Maas is on with the fanbase in Edmonton. A prolonged losing streak next season probably will mean his job. -

Some Esks fans are upset. One guy on twitter blamed Maas & called him "a dolt head coach".
