  1. Dressler can be replaced. Age & injuries have caught up to him. Short term, he can put together a string of 4 or 5 games where he can be dominant but he can't play an entire season which hurts us more than helps us. There are some very good veteran receivers that could come here & be more productive. I think the Bombers should look at upgrading the slot position where he plays.
  2. The Pacific Division absolutely stunk with the Connor McDavid Curse. He could be traded to Tampa Bay & they'd start to lose.
  3. Why would any goalie want to play in this game when his teammates just don't care if they look bad or not?
  4. Do you actually think that is funny? If it was supposed to be that's lame.
  5. Jonas was the last of the straight head kickers for the Bombers. Walt McKee was the first "soccer style' kicker the Bombers had. He took over the PK job from Jonas in 1972.
  6. Quarterback Chris Vargas dressed for 23 games as a Bomber in 1997-98. His career Bomber stats are 415 pass attempts & 213 completions for 2,798 yards & 16 touchdowns with a completion percentage of 51.8% & 22 interceptions. His best year was 1997 when he threw for 2,618 yards & 15 touchdowns.
  7. Jim Ausley had 4 GC wins in 4 tries & was part of the greatest era in Blue Bomber history. Murphy had success as well as GM but nothing like that.
  8. Swift Current is isolated in SW Saskatchewan unlike Steinbach. There's no NHL team an hour away either.
  9. Yeah, typical Riderfans. Criticize the Bombers saying it's just an excuse then use the reverse logic on theirs.
  10. Those 2 communities are much too small to support a WHL team. The team would set up shop elsewhere outside the province.
  11. Walt McKee, Bernie Ruoff & Don Jonas. Check out his kicking stats in 1971. I think he led the league in passing & scoring that year.
  12. With 3 major hockey teams in Winnipeg, could this actually work?
  13. I think Chamblin wanted his coaches back something like a month earlier & Dickenson said no. So, he was fired & went to Edmonton where Chris Jones had just been hired. That was Chamblin's final year as Riders HC. He became dictatorial & eventually lost the locker room. Hopefully, he learned a huge lesson out of all that & will treat his assistants & players in Toronto a lot better.
  14. It's your contest so you can do what you like.
  15. Joe Critchlow 1970's game worn helmet:
  16. Joe Fleming
  17. Medlock is still playing so ineligible.
  18. You do realize that Cameron was a huge kidder in general. Loved to play practical jokes. And that he was on radio trying to build up Ryan... I'd take all that with a grain of salt. You don't think Murphy knew Westwood could punt. If he could pay one player to do2 jobs then he'd have cut Cameron. Instead he knew that Cameron was the better punter & gicing 2 jobs to Westwood might affect his accuracy with the added pressure.
  19. Speak for yourself.
  20. Ryan played only a few seasons in Winnipeg. Cameron punted for over 15 years. I have to agree with 17to85 here. Cameron was the best.
  21. That was the first season of TNG when Picard was a old grouch who didn't like anything. They mellowed him in subsequent seasons or that series wouldn't have lasted very long with a captain pissed off at everything & everyone.
  22. I saw the first episode of Magnum: PI & wasn't t impressed. Haven't watched it since. Only Tom Selleck could play Thomas Magnum. I used to watch that show regularly back in the 80's. Plus Higgins is now a woman. I guess in today's world an all male cast just isn't politically correct. It didn't seem at all like the old show & if not, why bother? They could have had an original action drama cop show from Hawaii & people would watch it.
  23. Magnum PI renewed? Never thought it had a chance.
  24. Well, wow, really truth or BS?
