  1. Leaving them behind because they were a pre warp society was IMO the wrong decision. I agreed with Burnham that the descendants were taken against their will & should be returned to Earth although they may not have existed as they were saved from WW3. In the 24th century they very easily could have been educated to live during that century with advance technology. I think the best choice would have been to let the inhabitants know who they were & through that one scientist help to bridge the shocking fact they had been there for 300 years.
  2. No coach should have a job for life unless he's Vince Lombardi or Bud Grant.
  3. August 28,1954. The BC Lions first game in the Western Interprovincial Football Union, the precursor to the Canadian Football League. Lions fullback Byron Bailey scores the teams very first touchdown at Empire Stadium.
  4. Paul Robson won 1 Grey Cup as a GM. To this day, I have no idea why he left the Bombers to go to the Ottawa Rough Riders in 1987. When he was fired after the 1988 season, it finished his career as a CFL exec. Cal Murphy won 2 Grey Cups & lost 2 as Blue Bomber GM. Although in 1992 he was lying flat on his back in hospital in London, Ontario recovering from a heart transplant.
  5. His legs were huge. He wasn't easy to bring down. I saw him break tackles.
  6. Halfback Mack Herron running behind Offensive Guard Larry Slagle during the 1972 CFL season in a game in Calgary. Herron at 5'5 could literally disappear from the view of defenders charging into the LOS. However, don't let his diminutive size fool you. At 185 lbs he had legs that looked like tree trunks & was surprisingly powerful. With a low center of gravity he was difficult to bring down. In 1972, he was the leading rusher in the CFL with 1,527 yards & 11 touchdowns. He was runner up to Hamilton's Garney Henley for the CFL Most Outstanding Player.
  7. Of course that was the logical & common sense thing to do. But it's the Riders. And if they can cause trouble on other teams coaching staffs then that is just what they do.
  8. To me, the Discovery's Sarek was closer to Mark Lenard's Sarek from TOS. His portrayal wasn't cold but logical. He did not approve of Spock giving up the Vulcan Science Academy for a career in Starfleet but he was fiercely proud of his son. And Lenard's Sarek did portray a sense of humour as well. So, to me he was closer to canon for the franchise.
  9. They either will or have interviewed Craig Dickenson. I heard they may interview Mike Benevides. He would solve the problem of hiring a HC & DC in 1 position. Instead of hiring a guy like LaPo & a then a DC.
  10. Matt Dunigan
  11. Caption this picture....What could Cal Murphy be saying?
  12. Blue Bomber Media Guide 1997
  13. Greg Battle
  14. He used to work for the Bombers didn't he? They fired or laid him off, right? Carrying a grudge, I suspect.
  15. A very interesting interview with Dieter Brock....
  16. Sad for me is knowing I'll never go back there.
  17. We all know Osh. If all is well at the Bomber offices then why would he even think of saying anything publicly or trot LaPo out to say all is fine? He'll just keep it all in house & move on. That is how he works.
  18. We used to fish at Pointe Du Bois when I was a kid & my father was alive. We'd drive to PDB & my father would launch the boat & then we'd travel about 20 miles up the Winnipeg River. Great fishing back then. Walleye, perch, smallmouth bass & Northern Pike. My uncle always wanted to catch that elusive monster sturgeon. My dad's friend fished for goldeye & mooneye. The Winnipeg River was a great fishery.
  19. Do you guys remember Peter Watts from TSN back in the 80's? He passed away a few days ago here in Calgary. He had been working at 770 CHQR radio the past 20 years. He was in hospital being treated for blood poisoning & suffered an aneurysm. He was 68. https://www.msn.com/en-ca/video/wonder/peter-watts-at-coda-cup/vi-BBSqRI9
  20. He'd never win anything in Cincinnatti.
  21. Then if he quits, he quits. He still won't coach the Riders. You're quoting Rider freaking Stronson????? Is he even relevant?
  22. If LaPo is THAT UPSET then he can simply resign & sit out the year without being paid. Disgruntled employees do that. They quit. But he's supposedly the highest paid OC in the CFL so will he do that because he's soooo unhappy like Lalji claims & Rider fans hope? Doubt it. He's got a great gig with the Bombers & he knows it.
