Oh yeah, foist the carbon tax on us without telling us during the election.? "Social license" to build pipelines, was it? Sure, as soon as Green Peace found out we're paying a carbon tax they'll back off the pipeline protest.

$89 billion in debt.

It's going to court. When you have Ontario, SK, followed by AB in 10 months & another Maritime province going to federal court is it politically expedient to bring in a federal carbon tax?
-
Sure, make people on fixed incomes decide on electricity vs food. Great choices there by the NDP. We saw what happened in Ontario.
-
The NDP has spent our province into disaster & the carbon tax hurts everyone. He'll repeal it then join the other provinces opposed to a federal one in court. Also, closing down coal powered electrical generating plants will mean high electricity bills for Albertans. There may be time to still stop it.

No, I don't actually. I was just acknowledging 17to85 voted conservative as I accused him of being on the left.

That was an absolutely awe inspiring half time speech. Truly motivating. Just look at the players soaking in those words of wisdom from Coach. See how ready they are to bust out on the field in the second half. They look like they'll run through the door for him. Only if someone opens it for them first.

Okay, point taken.

Nichols was a second or so late getting it there as he was open. Had it been delivered a second or so earlier he'd have been gone.

Well Floyd, I see other receivers make plays downfield making their qbs look good. I seldom see that from our receivers. That's the bottom line for me. I think we have the weakest group of receivers in the CFL.

Holy Smokes... Step back from the edge...

They have a beautiful new stadium. We have a beautiful new stadium. They have passionate fans. We have passionate fans. They care deeply about their team. We care deeply about our team. Know what the difference is? When they go to bed at night in Regina. When they wake up they're still in Regina. -

I don't see anything wrong with being worked up. It means the fanbase has passion for the team. That we care. I'll take that over, "Hey Chill, man". Look at some of the teams & their attendance. Toronto 12,000. Montreal 16,000. Vancouver 19,000. How much apathy do other teams have in their cities with their fans? Not in Winnipeg. Can it be a tough place to play? Yes. That's good. -
We were discussing the receiver position as the suggestion was made that we should perhaps pick up Ernest Jackson. So, my answer just focused on that. Adams is too inconsistent for me as he can be a game breaker but he also disappears for long stretches as well & his production falls off. Yesterday, Nichols was off target to Adams. A couple of throws that were behind & that bomb to him downfield. He was open but Nichols should have thrown the ball a second or so earlier. He also dropped a couple of balls & seemed to be fighting his confidence as a receiver. The biggest offensive disappointment is undoubtedly the play of Matt Nichols & what has happened to our offense. Defensively, with Ritchie Hall I no longer am disappointed. He is what he is as a DC & his defenses play like it. The Bombers seem happy with him so what can anyone do?

Geoff Gray Roster Projection-Cleveland

He's been cut or not projected to make the cut? -
Hey SpuDs, didn't you hear O'Shea's comments last week about Streveler getting more time playing this season than they wanted because Matt was injured? In other words, he's been capped & now they won't play him for reasons only known to Pierce, LaPo & O'Shea. Chalk it up to the logic of Mike O'Shea. In the Ottawa game, he puts in Streveler after Nichols got hurt late, late, late in the 4th quarter. Okay fine, it's game over. Live to fight another day. Give the backups achance for playing time. Then O'Shea pulls the kid & puts Nichols back out there with 2 minutes left & down 23 points. Why??? O'Shea in his infinite wisdom still thinks Nichols gives us the best chance to win. The best chance to win??? We had absolutely no chance to win. The game was over at that point. What about yesterday? He tells the media that he kept Nichols & Harris in until the very end because we may need a tie breaker. He's worried about a tie breaker instead of the safety of his starters in a blowout & at the same time denies his backups the chance to get some much needed playing time??? This crazy coach should be fired at season's end. Streveler should indeed play more & I agree with you. Don't start him yet just give him some meaningful reps for experience like you say & see how he does. I almost freaking guarantee Walters will give us some lame excuse to keep O'Shea around expecting us to buy in & say nothing. Neither will Miller. He'll just smile & say all is well but hey people, we need you to buy more tickets.
-
We have our own Ernest Jackson... Darvin Adams. Biggest disappointment for me this season. He has not stepped up & should be a team leader in the locker room & on the field.
-
I've absolutely run of patience with O'Shea as well as his mind boggling coaching logic & style. Love to see him gone but I doubt Walters would fire him. My theory is the longer he stays HC the longer Walter stays employed as GM's are usually allowed one, maybe 2 firings before they're shown the door. So, the longer it takes that first firing to happen, the longer Walters will have a job with the Bombers. Sorry, colour me jaded. I think that's what will happen. It's all about circling the wagons now.

Build the pipeline Horgan.

And a decent scouting staff.

We talk about toughness & courage all the time in football. Imagine the toughness & courage it took to survive 5 1/2 years of solitary confinement, captivity. never knowing if you'll ever get out & torture? John McCain was a hero.
-
Sad day for America. I think the GOP in the Senate abandoned McCain & their principles to support the ass clown in the White House. Especially sad to see his friends do that. Their day hopefully will be coming soon.

That's what absentee bad ownership does. Braley gave Wally a job for life & dammit he's gonna keep doing what he does for as long as he can. Wally should have retired last year. Braley ground the Argos into the ground & now he's doing the same with the Lions. He has to sell. Yesterday if possible.
-
I think what he means is that the Bombers will take whatever route is available to them & roll the dice when they do. I sense a huge tongue in cheek message from DougR here.

I'm agreeing with you.
