Regular Season Bomber News & Discussion

Oh stop. Just stop. Stop. Just Stop. Blah, blah, blah, blah. Is this some kind of Red Badge Of Courage thing for you? Is Matt supposed to jump up & laugh at the Stampeders defense everytime he gets hit? Is he supposed to scream, "IS THAT ALL YOU GOT???" Then thump his chest & call another play? No qb likes to get hit. Stop talking such crazy s h i t. -
The Kavis Reed era will take years to fix just like the Joe Mack era here.
-
That's Kavis Reed's problem & not Sherman. I think Reed will be fired after the season is over.
-
Both teams played well. So, what do you do if you're Johnny Manziel & James Franklin? No way those 2 see the field unless there are injuries to Pipkin & Thompson.
-
I wouldn't be surprised to hear he needs knee surgery in the off season.
-
Just my guess. It makes sense, though.

Man, do Als receivers ever suck. If they aren't catching the ball they make it so the Argos can play takeaway for a touchdown.
-
Sure he could. But he couldn't do it overnight. It would take a number of games to install. But it ain't happening.
-
Sure lickety split because offensive playbooks are so easy to do.
-
The offense is geared to Nichols strengths & not Streveler.
-
Pretty small body of work to say he's as good as Reilly. I suggest we come back in 3 years & discuss.
-
Hamilton might be in the mix now with Williams out with a suspected ruptured Achilles. Don't know if they are but I wouldn't be surprised. Losing Willimas is huge.
-
I haven't gone thru all the messages but do you know Devonne Claybrooks has been hospitalized with an undisclosed illness & won't be at the game Saturday afternoon? That is a significant development.

The carbon tax is a lot because it never stops. If Notley had her way she'd keep raising it every year. She stopped now because 2019 is an election year & her party is floundering in the polls. If she gets reelected with a majority, the carbon tax will keep going up & so will the cost of living in Alberta. Who will it hurt? People on low & fixed incomes. The people she vowed to help. A puny cheque from the government is nothing.

For years, the Esks have loaded up on one side of the ball while sacrificing the other. They haven't had a great defense in a long time. It's all about Mike Reilly throwing & his receivers making ridiculous catches. It's fun to watch & they are explosive but defense wins championships & offense sells tickets. Until Sunderland & Maas decide they need to channel financial resources away from their offense to build their defense, they'll never win a championship.

I feel bad for Manziel as I think he had his heart in the right place finally & was honestly giving his best to get back to where he was before. This year may be a wash for him but he could come back next year wiser with more experience & have a great season. I bet there isn't a day that goes by where he wishes he hadn't flushed his NFL career down the toilet. Montreal is the worst possible place for him to end up. The team is in turmoil & management is running around constantly putting out fires on a daily basis. The Als are far from being professionally run. They sure remind me of the Bombers in 2013.

It is what it is. Just bad luck, I guess. I was going to delete my post above as I had second thoughts about letting y'all know about my physical ailments but it was too late. However, that's alright. Life throws curve balls at us all the time. It's what you do at bat that counts. The game is far from the bottom of the 9th inning for me. Depression is a bad thing as I knew I was eating my way back to a bad place & didn't care. Dealing with terrible pain constantly & the inability to walk... food was my only comfort & not caring about the weight I gained back. With all the powerful pain meds I was on during that time I couldn't drink which was a good thing, let me tell you. At least I had the sense to stay away from alcohol. Not saying Wylie was ever depressed but I sure can appreciate & understand how he got to where he is now. When I was young from my teens to my early 30's I was in shape & I laughed at fat people as well while vowing I'd never be like that ever & look what happened. Anyway like I said, I'm not looking for sympathy. I just wanted to give my perspective on this.
