  1. What about our lottery luck with the Laine pick?
  2. The way Stubler moves around, does he live in his car?
  3. He did the same thing to O'Shea remember? Agreed to come here but signed elsewhere. And he pulled a fast one on Dickenson in 2015 when he left the Stamps in a huff (pardon the pun) because he didn't want to work under the rookie HC. I think Stubler felt Hufnagel should have made him the Stamps HC. Dickenson was going to keep him as his DC but he resigned & joined the Argos as soon as the announcement was made.
  4. Most fans here haven't seen the older player actually play so I'm not surprised.
  5. That was supposed to be a joke.
  6. I think that 1990 defense may have been the best all time for the Bombers.
  7. Hey, no need to say sorry to me. I'm okay with whatever. I just think being outraged at Xmas songs is so far down the list of importance it's laughable. But I was just making a so called "real life" comparison with online bullying as opposed to being upset over a bullied reindeer.
  8. You want to talk about an intimidating safety? Grady Cavness.
  9. Not discounting Casey's efforts as a DB but he was better known as an offensive halfback & returner. He rushed for 2,104 yards from 1950-55. During that time he caught 91 passes for 1,621 yards. He scored 41 touchdowns. A great all around athlete he also returned 147 punts for 1,253 yards & an 8.5 yard average with no touchdowns. He also returned 28 kickoffs for 705 yards, 1 touchdown & a 25.2 return average. Imagine how great he would have been if he was able to play on one side of the ball only? I'm sure the poor guy was sucking wind by the 4th quarter.
  10. My son lives in Seattle. Big football fan but he sure isn't excited about an XFL team there.
  11. We see that all the time. The receiver believes the qb can't get the ball to him so he slows down & then realizes too late that yes indeed, the qb has the arm to have gotten the ball to him so he never should have given up on the pass. You see it at the high school level from inexperienced receivers & unfortunately at the pro level from players that should know better. At the pro level it's more laziness than being wrong about arm strength.
  12. Ed Ulmer was a safety, I believe & a pretty good one from what I remember. I think Brian Herosian was the best of the bunch.
  13. Rauhaus played safety but he primarily was a flanker. I think it would be an injustice nominating him here & not at receiver.
  14. Depends how it's done, I guess. It's one thing to disagree & then state your case. It's another when a group of posters gang up & mock, name call & belittle someone because they don't agree or like what he says. Like I said, I'm as guilty for doing that as the next guy for doing that. Especially lately to Northern Skunk who has been the subject of my scorn. If we're going to worry about name calling & bullying in a Christmas fantasy song then let's get real here & stamp out the same bad kind of behaviour that goes on here.
  15. Delbert Fowler, Aaron Brown & Tyrone Jones. Pretty good set of linebackers but the best was yet to come with James West, Greg Battle & Tyrone Jones.
  16. He's my pick. As far as fullbacks go, Dan Hucklack was pretty darned good. He should be on the list.
  17. McCoy was 137 in TOS.
  18. Online bullying is online bullying. Not every fan is clued in to what is going on. And to be fair, I've bullied & been bullied here. I'm maybe a little worse at times than most so when I talk about bullying I include myself in it. Sometimes "telling it like it is" is just an excuse to intimidate. I need to remind myself to be better.
  19. Pickings seem to be lean. We may be thanking our lucky stars we have Nichols if attracting top flight qbs to our league becomes an issue because of the lack of a CBA as well as the new pro leagues starting up. Saskatchewan & Calgary could be in real trouble.
  20. I'm just gonna say this & I'm NOT pointing fingers at anyone here but making a general observation. The same people on this forum that are abhorred by bullying in a Christmas story are the same ones who seem okay with anyone else bullying others on this forum with insults & mockery if another poster says something they don't agree with. Why is it okay to belittle members on this board & yet then be outraged over whether a flying reindeer with a red nose is bullied by other flying reindeer & an overweight senior in a magical sled? I just don't get it. Bullying goes on in here every damned day & yet that seems to be acceptable. We need to have a serious discussion about why some posters here are always on the outside looking in & aren't part of the "in crowd" here.
  21. Is Nick Arbuckle is the answer at qb? I'd say no.
  22. Brian played safety the entire time he was with the Bombers so that is where he should be listed.
  23. In the 60's there were a couple of positions on defense that were called Monster & Rover. I assume Monster would be on the DL & Rover would be at linebacker. Anyone know?
