  1. Defensive halfback position for the simple reason the slots have a running start on every pass play. To be able to cover the slots well even with such a big disadvantage is a huge adjustment from American football & takes a special kind of player.
  2. Fred Glick was our DC back then, wasn't he?
  3. Yes, you do argue. Vague statements thrown in? You're pretty direct. But fired coaches while the boss stays is to me, throwing them under the bus. If that's definitive, so be it. BTW, I've never had a problem with your posting style.
  4. Yeah, you are. You do it all the time & get all pissy about it when you do on any number of subjects here. You're right & everyone else is wrong so how can you say you don't? LOL.
  5. James Comey handed Trump the election...
  6. And since you don't work for the Bombers you don't know if they weren't, either. Both of us don't really know as weren't in on the discussions that led to the Hall decision. So, my opinion carries as much weight as yours. #speculation
  7. I've never seen a team use their MLB like we did Hurl before. In bantam football (14 year olds) you have pluggers who are like extra OLB's called who just stay close to the end of the LOS turning the play inside for the lbs by stepping into a rb path on a sweep or off tackle play if the back books it outside. Hurl reminded me of a plugger playing inside. Just diving into the LOS & plugging a gap on every running play. Compare how we played Hurl to other MLBs in the CFL. Imagine if Solomon Elimimian was used that way.
  8. We'll see what happens next year. Bottom line our defense has to play much better for the Bombers to get to & win the Grey Cup.
  9. Temper tantrum? I don't recall the last time I ever ranted here. Am I disappointed? Yes. However, I've tried to stay away from that. Not saying I'm perfect but I really don't have time for that anymore.
  10. So, you keep the architect & throw away the underlings because after all, it's their fault. If that isn't blatant, well?
  11. I'd say that may be pretty accurate.
  12. You're clueless. You seem to think I'm the only one here disappointed that O'Shea is keeping Hall. Read the comments here & elsewhere as I'm not the only one unhappy. Or as per usual you always seem to point out something I said that you don't like yet ignore others . We'll see how good this defense is next year under Hall. If it isn't you'll be bitching like everyone else.
  13. My biggest issue with all of this is throwing the 2 assistants under the bus & basically blaming them for the issues on defense. Hall was the architect of the Bomber defense. The assistants teach Hall's philosophy to their players. Hall designs the schemes & yet... even though he has failed he still gets to keep his job but it's the assistants fault. This decision makes no sense at all.. I have a huge concern about this off season so far. We have see some teams being very aggressive looking to improve for next year. Ottawa relieves Mark Nelson of his DC duties replacing him with Noel Thorpe. The Als cleaning house of their coaching staff which was expected. The Lions firing Khari Jones & other offensive assistant coaches. Meanwhile it took O'Shea 2 months to make his decision on Hall.
  14. It's not rotator cuff surgery.
  15. Yes, he has tendon tears in his right shoulder & elbow. Will have or has already had surgery. Facing rehab afterwards to be ready for training camp.
  16. A guy who can win games. A game manager.
  17. With new football seasons come change. Say the Riders under Collaros win 12 or 13 games? The Lions improve at home & on the road or the East Division actually becomes competitive with the West? Like I said, if our D doesn't improve under Hall & we fall back a bit on O then things change. It has nothing to do with placating me.
  18. The problem with calming downs means we accept another season of shitty defense. If our offense falls back even 10-15% in productivity & we have to live thru another year of what we have lived thru with Ritchie Hall's defense the past 2 years then a 12 win second place season in 2017 becomes a 9 win scramble for third place or crossover in 2018.
  19. Stubler is a defensive guy. At 70, he'd never be an OC. It's funny just talking about it.
  20. The world would be plunged into an economic depression as the economy of South Korea would be destroyed. There would be untold millions of refugees. There would be radioactive fallout worldwide. Perhaps an atomic missile dropped on North Korea would escalate into a World war. Whose to say N. Korea doesn't launch a nuclear missile that impacts the Continental US? Canada would be greatly affected. We don't want to go there.
  21. No extension for Hall (announced) yet. But c'mon...
  22. No, I don't think so. Teams announce if their staff returns.
  23. They announced LaPo's return. But not Hall?? All clubs announce if their staff is returning.
  24. Even sadder is the Bombers not making it official as if they know the reaction from fans & media would be extremely negative.
  25. I agree with what you say. I think the decision to elevate LeFevour to starter for the Stamps game tells you the lack of confidence the coaches had in Davis after the crappy game he played coming in for Nichols after he got hurt. That he isn't the future. That they have to bring in a new developmental qb in his place. As good as LeFevour is running short yardage that shouldn't be enough to keep him on the roster as our #2 going into the 2018 season. If he's our #2... or if it's status quo with the same guys backing up Nichols we are in big trouble. The way they both played when Nichols was out was 2013 cringe worthy. Brought back a lot of bad memories.
