  1. Stats? I'm missing something here. Sounds like revisionist history to me.
  2. Ray Jauch. J.. a... u.. c... h. At the time the USFL was offering up big contracts to players & coaches. Don't begrudge Ray for leaving when he was making twice as much money as he was making here. At least he quit when his contract was up. Unlike Jim Spavital who left the Riders in 1974 when he was their HC & GM while still under contract for the Chicago Fire when the World Football League started play a decade earlier. I was a Jim Spavital fan but he was wrong to do what he did. BTW, it was Ray Jauch who is credited in changing Dieter Brock's game from a sprint out left & sprint out right qb to a player who could pick a defense apart in the pocket with his lightning quick release. Under Ray's tutelage, he learned to see the entire field with his reads & not just the side of the field he was sprinting to. We don't know what the Bombers may have accomplished under Jauch. I don't share your it's "the best thing that ever happened to us" scenario. The Bombers brought in a lot of talent under Jauch & Paul Robson. They were destined to be a great team no matter if Cal Murphy or Ray Jauch coached them.
  3. Wally passed him by. That bothered Durant as he's from the Lower Mainland & played all of his football there. Not surprised he didn't wait for free agency & sign with the Lions. I think had Wally retired he might've signed with the Lions. Decided to come back to the Stamps.
  4. Yeah, innovative rules. Jesse Ventura threatening to beat up a HC during a broadcast & then trying to find him.
  5. You remember the USFL? Were you even old enough to watch it? This is the early 80's we're talking about.
  6. Kind of a cryptic comment...
  7. He felt he should have been paid more so he quit WWE. Story said he was always bitter for not being pushed more & being paid what he felt he was worth.
  8. I remember Zenk really well. Wasn't a great wrestler by any means but wasn't he a bodybuilder before he became a wrestler?
  9. Just the ones who won't let it go & want to know why? Why?? WHY????
  10. The only thing I'll say is the radio business isn't professional sports. Teams have scouts & PPD's. Their job is to find the best players possible from wherever they play however they can. Radio stations don't. Music directors from radio stations don't go out & purposely sign unknown bands or performers to contracts to record, promote & guide their careers in the music industry. That's the job of record labels. If a football player sends info on himself in an unconventional way it still is in the best interest of an NFL or CFL team to look at what they sent as another club will if they don't. If Randle feels this is an effective way to do business to boost his career then who are we (other than fans) to say he's wrong? Again, I just don't get the angst here with Chris Randle?
  11. I'd never use a Rogers product or service. Eff them.
  12. I read he wanted to be on the 100th GC committee & was overlooked. He's had a hate on for the CFL since.
  13. McCowan has an ego bigger than SkyDome.
  14. The inspiration for Lorca.
  15. How can you tell it's the off season?
  16. pry Mark Nelson out of Ottawa.
  17. I'm sure he has an agent. Let the man do what he wants to do. He's been a pro player for years. He knows more people & has more contacts who know more about the inner workings of pro football than any of us.
  18. It's Randle's career & he's doing what he deems to be the right thing. Why are people so eager to give career advice on something they know nothing about?
  19. What a favour the Calgary Stampeders did by losing the GC to the Argos. New ownership. The Stampeders just spreading the love everywhere. LOL. #CHOKE
  20. Okay, thanks for giving your side of the story with a valid reason instead of not saying why. I happen to agree with you plus add on the discounted Canadian dollar & it'd be crazy expensive.
  21. Rogers can afford it so not impossible.
  22. A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Good luck to Chris Randle
  23. I still think they want an NFL team. Why would they give up on that?
  24. How is Rogers onboard with this? They wanted to kill the Argos & the CFL.
  25. O'Shea the DC? Like being the HC & STC isn't enough?
