Had he stayed healthy I think Lulay would have been the GOAT as a Lions qb.

Lulay is too slow to evade the rush. That knee injury has completely taken away his mobility.

Harris makes dumb throws like Nichols. Yet he's elite?

Lulay with a quick slant to Collins. We have nothing like that in our offense.

Well, Friday Night Football. Ottawa @ BC. The place looks empty. Lions center Cody husband goes down with a knee injury on the first play of the game. Lulay gets poked in the eye. Lulay throws a deep touchdown to Rickey Collins & it's 7-0 Lions.

MOS explanation? He was concerned about a tie breaker. He wanted to score points so he left Harris out there. Just another Mike O'Shea Stupid Moment.

He can ask but he won't get it.

Wentz was a first round draft pick. Second in the draft. He's also playing the same game he played in college. Not Canadian football. So, less of a learning curve to a different size field, rules, motion & 3 downs. I like Streveler but bring him along slowly. Having said that, not this slowly. O'Shea's refusal to give him just a little playing time is baffling. Which is typical O'Shea par for the course stupid & why he needs to go. Yesterday. His act is wearing thin.

Same **** different day for Skunk.

New Regime...
Murphy needs someone to reign him in like John Hufnagel did in Calgary. I don't think he's savvy enough to be a GM. He'd be a massive failure here if he was our GM.

George Allen used to say the same thing. He did not like rookies.

As someone said, his health is a concern. He just had a diabetic reaction that was quite serious. Now he has to make adjustments in reaction to that disease which can be very difficult. A coach's life is stressful enough without having to deal with that as well.

I'm not sold on Claybrooks. Yes, he has a great defense in Calgary but he's been blesses having great players to coach & who know the system. I also think he isn't experienced enough. is this his third year as a DC? The guy I like is Orlando Steinhauer. A successful DC (in the past) who knows the league as a player & a coach. Coached as a DC in the NCAA & did well in the only year he did in 2017. He was ready 3 years ago to be a CFL HC & I'd love to see him here. I think his upside is far higher than O'Shea.

Cop out, bro. You don't like the discussion or want us to talk about it..

It's just a discussion thread so relax.

I think O'Shea has reached his own level of incompetence. It's called the Peter Principle. He brought the team up to the level it was at last season & now they're falling back. I believe from what I'veseen that he is absolutely incapable of delivering us a West Division Championship let alone a Grey Cup victory. Another head coach will have to do it. At the end of the season he will have had 5 complete seasons to get things done. If the Bombers continue their tailspin then he doesn't deserve to come back next year.

With the shape of the ball a one handed attempt that gets tipped is worse than not attempting the catch at all. The ball is coming in hard & fast so why would Washington even think he could catch it with 1 hand? Not a smart play. Again, it comes down to receiver basics. Doing it while cutting over the middle with defenders all around is trouble.

School Zones
Kids don't play anything anymore. Unless it's structured on a team. I remember as a teen having 20 kids show up for a touch football game in the nearest playground or school yard.

Eskimos @ Stamps
You never attempt a one handed catch in a crowd. It's 2 hands or none. That's basic receiving. That pick is on the receiver. Deflections equate to turnovers. Pretty basic stuff.

Eskimos @ Stamps
Coming over the middle trying to catch a high pass with one hand. Hey, what possibly could go wrong?

Comparison: 2017 Ti-Cats / 2018 Bombers
What I've been saying. Our American receivers aren't helping Nichols play better. I know the play you speak of. Our qb is in trouble & they do nothing to help him out. Somehow that's on Nichols? Either these receivers don't work hard enough to get open or they can't.

Okay question, if Streveler should play & doesn't because O'Shea won't let him & we keep losing going status quo, should O'Shea be fired at seasons end?
