Okay, so my son is getting married later today. We're in Portland, Oregon & we just had a post wedding rehearsal party for our family & friends in our hotel room which has really turned into a hospitality room for everyone. I usually don't have a lot to drink anymore but I've had a few pops tonight. I'm not the partier I used to be but this evening I decided to let my hair down & just enjoy everything as a Dad. It was wonderful spending time with family & friends so far & I'm feeling pretty good right now.. LOL. My son & his fiancée met at Junior College in California in 2011 & have been together in a long distance relationship while both have lived all over North America ever since. He was an NCAA D2 qb & she was an All American softball pitcher They were able to make it work while both have lived apart in South Carolina, Pittsburgh, Northern California, Calgary, Seattle, Victoria & Kelowna. Now, the are finally together & will be living in the Seattle area. My son will be coaching qbs privately while doing stone masonry work (when he is able to work) while his wife works in the sports industry as a marketing rep for a large American sporting goods company. So proud of both of them & ecstatic they have finally tied the knot after 7 years. As I've embided tonight I promise to be on my best behaviour. Life is pretty damned good right now.

On part of me wants the truck driver to burn for eternity in Hell for what he did with the tragic loss of so many lives & the devastation of some of the survivors. Then another part of me thinks the guy was put in a position due to lack of regulations & training where he caused a devastating accident with loss of life & injuries. When the driver got up that day he never meant to kill or hurt anyone. He is a victim as much as the hockey players & support staff on the bus were due to inferior regulations & driving inexperience. Just a sad, sad, sad situation.

Scheer has the personality of a slab of wallpaper. I plan on voting for him but the guy has no charisma. He's a younger version of Robert Stanfield. The Underwear King. I expect Trudeau will defeat him as well. But I will vote Conservative next election.

It's called sarcasm since you didn't like me comparing Streveler's very first game to Dieter Brock's very first game as a rookie. According to you that shouldn't be allowed as Brock went on to become a Canadian Football Hall Of Fame qb. As if that had anything to do with it. Nah, you thought Streveler should have been compared to Mike Reilly, a 6 year vteran as he put up big numbers yet Streveler didn't. That's what should have been compared. A raw rookie vs a CFL veteran.

He ain't wrong that's for sure. Chris Jones may be on shaky ground. Especially when it comes to the football ops & the salary cap imposed on it. Be interesting to see what happens going forward to the end of the season... Who gets fired or chopped come December. He may not be back if the Riders miss the playoffs.

If Kent Hehr can be thrown out of cabinet for saying inappropriate things to women then a grope should be resign worthy. Making 2 federal Liberal MP's resign from caucus for sexual misbehaviour. What about the Kent Hehr stories? He had to resign as a cabinet minister & then was suspended from caucus while there was an "investigation". All Hehr did was make lewd comments but he didn't grope anyone. Using Trudeau's standards he should resign as Prime Minister. But he won't.

Yeah, there are exceptions like successful big market NBA teams. It still boggles the mind that Sacramento, Oklahoma City, Charlotte, New Orleans or Portland have teams worth more than most NHL teams.

I've always felt Bridge is overrated. He hasn't done much during his time in the CFL. I think Jones tries to groom Watford to take over if Bridge struggles again. I think Watford has a bigger upside. He's a rookie & he played to the same level as Bridge. That ain't saying much but it was a fact. So then, why not play the kid?

NBA franchises with a few exceptions are generally are valued nearly twice as much as NHL franchises. Not including the Rangers, Flyers, Blackhawks & Maple Leafs. But their salary structures for 12 players is crazy.

I absolutely agree but Trudeau's teflon. The media could break him if they wanted to. I don't think they want to as he restored funding to the CBC. Look what they did to Ontario PC leader Patrick Brown. The media destroyed him because he's Conservative.
