  1. Only Brett Hart is left from this photo. Sadly. Owen Hart, Jim Neidhart, Brian Pillman & Davey Boy Smith are all gone.
  2. Halfback Dave Raimey:
  3. Look how small the end zones are. Barely 10 yards. I read somewhere that on one side of the field the fence was so close to the field that teams lined up in the end zone to kick converts. Only on one side though. As far as capacity goes, Osborne Stadium had grandstands on both sides of the field right to the back of the end zones.
  4. Welcome DougR. Glad to have you on board!
  5. Buddy Tinsley: Note the old school blocking style using his forearms until rule changes allowed the use of the hands.
  6. Osborne Stadium with night lights circa 1951.
  7. Look who they had last year... Naman Roosevelt, Caleb Holley, Bakari Grant, Rob Bagg & Carter. Not a bad group & Jones dismantled them.
  8. Sounded like he was having fun & then crashed the plane.
  9. Faloney was traded to the Als in 1965 & Zuger took over. Here's a pic of Als Head Coach Jim Trimble reunited with his former qb from their glory days in Hamilton. Sam Etcheverry is also there to welcome Faloney to his very first practice.
  10. Yeah, Carter is that but look at the atmosphere & culture on the Riders. As well as the leadership of the people running the team. It's no surprise Carter failed in Regina with everything going on.
  11. Joe Zuger doesn't get the props he deserves. He played qb & defensive back when he wasn't playing qb. He quarterbacked the Ti Cats to GC victories in 1965 & 67. Backed up Bernie Faloney in the 1962, 63 & 64 GC games.
  12. Well, the so called adults running the team in Regina didn't exactly behave that way either. Carter found out thru teammates he was released. He called Jones who confirmed it to him. Carter called Jones. Jones didn't call Carter. Then there's the backstabbing Pederson who always extolled the virtues of Duron Carter & his greatness. Only to trash him after he was cut.
  13. This one's for you Zontar. Hamilton Tiger Cats qb Joe Zuger #9 (who should be in the Canadian Football Hall Of Fame IMHO) & #26 DB & WR Garney Henley.
  14. There's artwork for every CFL Magazine.
  15. Some really great artwork on the first pic. The Bombers wore that uniform in 1962. That was the year the iconic W first appeared on their helmets.
  16. Ottawa hot??? LOL. They barely beat the Als. They let the Argos put up 24 points on them in the 4th quarter & lost 42-41 the game before. Like, really???
  17. On his facebook page Rod Pederson is rallying the Rider masses to Jones defense harshly criticizing anyone who chastises Jones in Riderville by telling fans to get off Jones back. One Rider fan who can see through the phony smokescreen answered back saying to Pederson that he is a paid employee of the Riders so what right does he have to criticize any Rider fans who don't like Jones? His comment were deleted moments later. Pederson also criticized Carter as a troublemaker who Jones got tired of babysitting. Fans that adored Carter just 24 hours ago are now calling him a cancer. Nice fanbase, wow. Pederson is such a syncophant & even worse he's a backstabber. You know he'll say bad things about Jones the minute he is fired or leaves the Riders but he kisses his ass while he's still Riders GM & HC .
  18. Halfback Dave Raimey.
  19. Came across this today. Kinda cool.
  20. The deep balls were a problem. Nichols wasn't connecting. That is a huge problem as we kept doing it & it did not work.
