  1. I prefer flying snowmobiles, don't you?
  2. No, I never really attacked you or was nasty. I just asked why you post so many threads yesterday & you took it personally. You attacked J5V all by your lonesome.
  3. Then stop doing it if you don't like it. J5V never even mentioned you. It was how he felt about Buono. Right or wrong, it's his opinion. Why should you take it so personally?
  4. Looks who's lobbing spit balls today.
  5. That's LaPo not Nichols. he calls the plays.
  6. Yes, I saw that match in person. It was the last AWA match I ever witnessed as it was gone soon after. The sands of time have blurred my memory of the ending. I thought Flair won. However, you're the wrestling historian & expert here so if you say the ending was a draw then it was a draw.
  7. Wally was a great coach but he's 68. He didn't do near enough good job to turn around a cocky team last week & got blown out because of it. Then the Lumbala thing last night. Unfortunately, he'll decide when it's time to leave. No one will fire him.
  8. What we do in the past can definitely catch up to us health wise at some point as we age. Sadly, I know first hand about this with a family member who was an alcoholic. Alcoholism didn't kill him per se but the related health effects of drinking sure did. My prayers go out to Ric Flair for a full recovery.
  9. Saw Ric Flair wrestle Nick Bockwinkel at the Winnipeg Arena as the NWA Champ was wrestling the AWA champ in a unification championship match. I think that was 1984. Both organizations were about to be swallowed up by WWF expansion at the time & were on their last legs. Flair was NWA champ. Two greats going at it. The crafty old vet in Bockwinkel vs the young stud in Flair. In a rare occurrence, Bockwinkel was the face in that match with the crowd at the Arena cheering him on & Flair took a lot of heat as the heel. Flair defeated Bockwinkel to win the unified championship that night.
  10. LaPo did a pretty good job explain what was going on during the first half of every game. He took one play & then broke it down much more deliberately than Hank. It was easier to understand & he wasn't talking so quietly that viewers would miss a phrase or a description thereby missing the entire point of the discussion & go What???
  11. Surprised he let Lumbala do the so called dirty work for him instead of the Coordinators. He knew there was a problem but chose not to take responsibility for it & sluffed it off to one of his team captains. Would Wally have done that 20 years ago? Would he have let a team from that time be so sloppy & unprepared? Something tells me no. Maybe it's finally time he should think about stepping aside, this time for good as a coach. If this had been Benevides or Tedford coaching he'd have been seething up in the coaches box telling himself that it wouldn't have happened if he was on the sidelines. Yet it did. He rode those 2 head coaches hard & was probably just as much responsible for their failures as they were.
  12. Thanks for the comment. I think a lot of people feel like you. They seem to want to recreate the LaPo thing from 2 years ago during halftime. But it's not working.
  13. I wouldn't. I know it's acting. Still, it's a dangerous move. Going thru a table, falling backwards or sideways, hitting her head on the floor. It takes a different breed of cat to do that which wrestlers are.
  14. Hopefully this puts to rest the discussion that Jonathan Jennings is an elite qb. He is a qb that can throw for a lot of yards & that's it. There's more to being an elite qb than putting up big numbers.
  15. It has possibilities.
  16. Visionary.
  17. Dinkishness? LOL!
  18. But why open new threads when topics discussed can be easily found in threads already open & where posters know where to find them? #needlessclutter
  19. All teams practice like that. Not just the Bombers. So, great theory but not necessarily true.
  20. Like Drew Willy early in 2016.
  21. Derek Fildebrandt at the Rider bench. (You have to be from AB to get it).
  22. An elite qb always throws a TD in garbage time.
  23. Making a statement about something that happened in the US? Let the NFL & the other sports leagues with teams down there do it.
