  1. Don't understand what Jones still sees in Bagg. He's a backup receiver at best now.
  2. We have the playmakers at receiver, I believe. We just have to use them differently but don't expect any changes.
  3. Still, I'd rather we go down all guns a blazing than the way we meekly did Friday night with no fight at all. Darvin Adams showed he can be a playmaker if Nicholls throws him the ball. TJ Thorpe shows potential. We also need to throw more to Denmark which we haven't done. Our passing game seems more horizontal than vertical. We don't challenge the field as much as other teams. LaPo is all about short controlled passing & spreading out the field. It means longer drives & if we get behind it's harder to come back from a deficit. Unlike BC, Edmonton or Calgary who have no issue slinging it downfield. I'm not a fan of this type of passing game as it is too conservative. Especially trying to protect a lead as then it's even more conservative as we found out.
  4. I think the offense did execute but the playcalling wasn't the right calls. Continually dumping passes yards short of a first down expecting the receivers to make the first down everytime when surrounded by Lions defenders was unrealistic. As was handing the ball off on 2nd & 5 or 6 expecting a first down each time as well. It was shitty & cowardly playcalling. Playing not to win but not to lose. And how did that work out??
  5. It's not like Nicholls throws to him a lot. He can't do much with the football if he doesn't have it.
  6. That may have been the worst quarter of playcalling by LaPo I've ever seen. That has to change.
  7. Some of the scripts on that show? The lesbian relationship between Supergirl's sister & the other female FBI officer. The kind of sunshine & light relationship of some of the other characters. Just the way they interact & talk to one another. Supergirl is a weird show.
  8. There was a kicker named Medlock Who thought he had the powers of a warlock Like making the ball stick to the back of a players helmet When he wasn't looking Just what the hell was he thinking?
  9. The right move was to re-up O'Shea given the season we had last year. What message would it have said if we let him go? That being said, he has to get his head out of his ass & start demanding a lot better from himself as a STC & HC, LaPo, Ritchie, the other assistants & players. There's no excuse for the team to play like it has in the 1st quarter of every game or some of the decisions being made. The way things are now, it's just not good enough.
  10. Man, one win & the Rider trolls just come out of the woodwork. Soon to disappear again, of course.
  11. Man, one win & the Rider trolls just come out of the woodwork. Soon to disappear again, of course.
  12. No, the STC (Osh) does as it's his ship. He designed the play & will take the credit or in this case the criticism as it didn't work. Medlock should have been told not to even think about it with the game on the line & the Bombers deep in their end. It's always about coaching. O'Shea wears it in this situation.
  13. Which should have been done in the first place.
  14. There would have to be some kind of communication by Medlock to let his teammates know what he'd be doing. Obviously there wasn't. It's still on O'Shea for the play failing as he's the STC. Also, there should have been strict instructions not to go in that situation. Just punt the ball deep & cover. It wasn't the right time or field position. Still on O'Shea. Let's put it this way. LaPo plays scared offensively by calling little dump passes & checkdowns & that's okay. Meanwhile our HC/STC gambles like that on 3rd down in such a crucial situation?? Makes no bloody sense. No wonder the players aren't on the same page when the coaches aren't.
  15. O'Shea better not say that he has no regrets & would do it again on that third down punt gamble. If he gets stubborn & starts defending last night's decision like he did last year with that 61 yard FG attempt as opposed to going for it on third down in the WDSF then he'll just create more problems for himself. He can only defend those strange decisions for only so long before fans think he's crazy & the negative blow back will get intense.
  16. Cue the 90 man Sask pre practice practice, practice roster. Riders looking for billets.
  17. Coaching cost us the game. Field position wins game. On a third down gamble nursing a lead by a touchdown you don't gamble. You punt it deep then cover & make the Lions work for their score. Huge mistake. O'Shea must've been light headed after the success of that onside kick... LaPo. Just WTF is he doing??? He went into a shell completely as a playcaller in the 4th quarter. The receivers were making plays downfield in the 2nd & third quarters. We outscored the Lions 35-7 so naturally in the 4th he starts calling plays by having Nicholls throw little checkdown passes. We need 8 for a first down so Nichols throws for 6. We need 5 so let's throw for 3. From that point on, we lost any offensive momentum we had as it was a string of crucial two & outs. Then there's our secondary. Even with Roc Carmichael's interception he just can't cover. What did we see him do all game? Back turned to the receiver, arms flailing getting beat. Is he the best we can do?? Pretty much is a scar on our scouting if a guy like that can make the team. I'll take a 35 year old Ryan Phillips in our defensive backfield. Even if he's over the hill, he can still make plays that Roc can't. However, my biggest beef with the loss is our coaching. It was terrible. We would have won that game if it wasn't for the dumb decisions on the bench last night. I think that's why fans are angry. The coaches lost that game. Just gave it away.
  18. How many games has Lulay thrown away in comparison to Jennings? Lulay was a CFL MOP. Jennings has the athleticism but not the smarts to even come close to winning a championship. Right now, he's just another athletic qb that may never win anything.
  19. Yet they won. What a brutal way to lose tonite.
  20. He was healthy tonite. Jennings makes stupid decisions, forces the ball into tight windows for picks & fumbles at inopportune times. He is a turnover machine.
  21. Who is better than Jennings.
  22. Playcalling was cowardly in the 4th quarter. That's on LaPo & not Nicholls.
  23. Haha!! Haha!! Haha!! I can think of at least 7.
  24. A 15 win team being beaten by an 8 win team? Yeah, I'd say it was a choke of massive proportions.
