  1. Montreal has 8 I think. Ottawa has 7 or 8. BC has 5 (?). Bombers have 10. Saskatchewan has 4.
  2. If anything you'd think the CFLPA would want teams to be able to grab these guys. As a fan, I find it frustrating knowing there are players on other teams PR's that could help us yet they're untouchable when actually they aren't. .
  3. I don't know why we don't. This so called "Gentleman's Agreement" not to take players from other teams off the PR is frustrating. If it's frowned upon so much as dirty pool if it happens then why doesn't the CFL change the rules to say PR players are protected? Some of the rules in the CFL are head scratchers & make little sense.
  4. Local kid with lots of potential & a chip on his shoulder. Yes, I'd do it as well.
  5. We'd all be shell shocked too if we took the pounding Drew did as well as suffering that ghastly leg injury. The problem was Willy thought he could put it behind him when emotionally he couldn't. Perhaps a sports psychologist might have helped him deal with it. Instead, it destroyed him as a player. Looking at Willy as a qb since that injury he'd have been wise to retire.
  6. Justin Herdman was released by the Argos. Should the Bombers sign him?
  7. HOMELESS. Wi HOMELESS. Will Wrestle For Food.
  8. Great way to leave the NFL. Don't stand at attention for the national anthem, become a polarizing figure, regress as a qb & then lose weight & strength by being a vegan. If that's true who'd want him?
  9. The Bombers weren't on the upswing until Drew left. Then they started Travis Bond & Hardrick, That's when things changed. The Bombers were 3-3 & sinking under Willy.
  10. Don't want to turn this into a Kaepernick thread but look at the guy physically. He's lighter & much thinner than he used to be. He doesn't have the strength he used to have. He seemed to regress as a qb since Harbaugh left & makes wrong decisions with his reads or often seems confused when he played. Carroll won't get rid of Russell Wilson to make him his starter so there's that. If Carroll likes him as much as you say then why not sign him to back up Wilson? That deal was supposed to happen in April but hasn't. The hold up or failure is probably over money & the reluctance to pay Kap what he thinks he deserves as well as the baggage he'd bring with him to the locker room. The other thing if the NFL deems the guy to no longer be an NFL qb for whatever reason then his career is over.
  11. Everybody kind of wrote off the Esks & that's not a smart thing to do in a very competitive West Division not counting the Riders.
  12. Bridge looked. awful. Absolutely. awful. Good for Jones. They'll keep Vince Young now.
  13. Well, a so called good dude that craps over the people who sacrificed their lives for his freedom to kneel during the National Anthem. If he isn't getting paid millions anymore he won't be as charitable. Is he good enough to be on an NFL roster? Debatable with his diminished skills at the money he'd want. He brought a storm over his head by doing what he did the way he did it. There's no one to blame but himself. If he's that upset about the way things are in America then he should have ran for public office in November to enact changes that he thinks are important as he would have been elected. Instead he never even bothered to vote. That's when I lost total respect for him. His refusal to vote means that he reneged on his democratic right for change.
  14. Watch Jones & Murphy bring in everybody's cuts.
  15. Kaepernick decided to make his protest political by refusing to stand for the national anthem. Then he admitted he never voted in the Presidential election. No one wants to touch him now because of the headaches he would bring to any team that signed him. Any team he's on would be in a media fish bowl. Coaches don't like distractions & he'd be a huge one. Kaepernick's now a backup qb carrying a huge salary with political views a lot of fans & companies don't like. That's a huge no no in the eyes of Roger Goodell & the NFL.
  16. Kinda too late now as these decisions are made in January & February when it comes to setting budgets for free agency at each position. Myself, I think if we have to rely on Hurl as our starter because of ratio &/or money then we entirely missed the boat as an organization. He never showed in 2015 he was capable of being a starting Mac lber. Why do they think he is capable now?
  17. I hope Mayweather gets the you know what beaten out of him. It'll be a boxing match so it won't happen.
  18. As well, getting first team reps every practice & playing full time.
  19. Cough, cough... You actually said that? LOL! BTW, I don't disagree with you at the MLB position.
  20. if that's the reason & it probably is, if our defense fails then that's on the entire organization. Not the player.
  21. So did I. Too many bad memories of 2015.
  22. Just proves that a coach's IQ is based on the talent level of the players he has at the time. Kelly was OC & considered a great football mind as he had Matt Dunigan as his qb in 1992-93. When he was HC in 09 he was stuck in the late 80's & early 90's with an offense of that vintage with 2 running backs as well as Stefan LeFors & Michael Bishop. Big drop in Kelly's IQ. Alienated everyone. Epic fail.
  23. I read that Nichols will play as long as he feels he needs to. I guess that means if he wants to play the majority of the game that O'Shea will let him.
  24. Randy, that game was a **** tsunami!
