  1. I remember being shocked. I was certain that Walters was going to pick Durant. Very disappointed when he didn't.
  2. Nice arm, good weight transfer. Sign him up.
  3. Apparently, Durant didn't interview well. He was quiet, reserved & a maybe a bit nervous. That may be why he wasn't drafted until Round 2. He's fit in well with the Stamps as they brought him along slowly & made him a situational player. With more experience & confidence I think he'll be starting sooner rather than later.
  4. Only a few people that I know & trust here are aware of why I did the name change & I won't ever divulge it publicly. I also trust that the people I told will respect my reasons & not share why I did so on this forum. Let's just say that I don't post as often here as I used to & that I no longer get involved in the politics of this place anymore. But when people here start disparaging a person that I know (Lemar Durant) without even knowing the guy & my son who played with him has nothing but good things to say about his former teammate then I will speak up to defend Durant. In this situation, I truly don't care what people think of me. Lemar is a very shy & introverted man. He is NOT a headcase.
  5. Rumours are ****. He's a good man.
  6. Durant was an outstanding teammate at SFU. He gave the coaches no problems at all. Always worked hard in practice & games. He was a beast in the weight room. He was a beast on the field as well capable of dominating games all by himself. He's a quiet guy. Very shy. Doesn't say a lot. Let's just say the only team that got it right about Durant were the Stampeders. The Bombers picked Richardson before him so Walters blew it. As Ace_Wells said, Durant's no headcase. How do I know? My son was his qb at SFU for 3 seasons & always had great things to say about Durant. I'll take his word over some random fans here trying to say things that aren't true to justify the Bombers not selecting him.
  7. I blame iHeart for waves & waves of time displacement.
  8. I think as some suggest, it's just not the season to show what he can do but training camp. I don't want to see Richards fail. I just want to see if the potential is there.
  9. He'll be at camp. I assume this is the last year of his contract so 2017 will be a huge for Richards. Hopefully, the injury bug will leave him alone this season.
  10. I blame iHeart for convincing William Shatner to do this:
  11. Hasn't he already? How long should a player have before you move on as an organization? The same things were said about Etienne. That he deserves a chance. That if we give up on him he'll go somewhere else & become a good player which didn't happen. To me, he's had the chances. Injuries are a ***** but they're part of the game. Some players seem more injury prone than others. Richards has been injured since his first training camp. Not saying he isn't a nice guy. Not saying he doesn't have potential. However, it hasn't worked out that way. I think it's time to move on. He'll be at camp this June so we'll see what happens.
  12. I blame iHeart for the fact Babylon 5 was cancelled.
  13. Hopefully the Addison Richards experiment ends like the Etienne one. Memo to Kyle Walters: Never draft another Saskatchewan receiver again. They'll mess with your mind, ratio & salary cap.
  14. Eat, Sleep, Conquer, Repeat. Careful about guys who love football. http://media.gettyimages.com/photos/brock-lesnar-takes-a-break-between-drills-picture-id83470263?s=594x594
  15. Popp was a good GM. Not the last 5 years.
  16. If I was an Argo fan I'd be so unexcited for the Popp hiring. He was one of the worst GM's in the CFL the last few years of his time in Montreal. Now, Trestman? Different story. Popp should be on a short leash as it is & told that if he ever wants to coach again he'll be fired.
  17. Why would anyone think he would ever play here?
  18. It's not Hollywood anymore without John Wayne. #TheDukeliveson
  19. Still liked him in the film.
  20. I saw the Reacher movie. I liked Cruise. As far as Bill Paxton goes, his new series Training Day (based on the motion picture with Denzell Washington) was starting to grow on me. Really a shame. RIP Bill. Loved your movies.
  21. This isn't a WCT event. It's the Canadian championship. Viewership will always be high even with some weaker provinces in there. I think you need every province in the Scotties & Brier to help grow the game in these weaker provinces. The provincial curling associations in these places have to figure things out.
  22. Did we sign Simonise? Please explain why you don't like Hardrick as he was one of our best offensive linemen last year. You really want a Canadian in there who wouldn't play as well, which he wouldn't? Think back to the seasons prior to last year & remember the disaster our line was before Hardrick & Bond showed up. The days of 3 or 4 starting Canadians on the offensive line are over because they. just. aren't. good. enough.
  23. it was probably the worst schemed defense I ever saw. Great athletic plays caused turnovers. We can't expect that to happen again.
  24. The biggest mistake would be preventing so called "bad curling provinces from the Scotties & Brier. How do you grow the game in those provinces?? Well, by not letting them play in our 2 major national championships.
