Collaros is the last guy I'm worried about. We're in good hands at the qb position. He's not going to put up 350 yards & 3 TD passes every game. I worry about our depleted receiving corps. With Schoen, this would have been a no brainer win over the Als. It may be a lot closer now, They didn't just step in & play at a high level. They had to adjust to the CFL game & level of play. Bond was the guy who brought it together. but once the Canadians started to play well, he was the first to go. Did Chungh take his spot? Also, once Neufeld put all his injury issues behind him the OL really took off.

Reed was outstanding. He played for the Riders which shouldn't be held against him. Was he better than Mike Pringle?? Too bad they never went against one another as that would have been epic.

I hope the Bombers shove it up Davis Sanchez blow hole. if anyone gave us no respect or consideration, it was him.

You'd think in a 9 team league they'd figure this **** out but nope.

With the technology we have now, votes should be allowed to be changed & counted up to the day after the Divisional Finals. Not some archaic system that was in use in 1979 when results were telexed somewhere. Or relied on canada Post to get to where they were supposed to go. And reporters should be free to vote for their own team players they cover all season especially if they truly had outstanding seasons to balance off the douchebags in places like Saskatchewan who would rather die first than vote for a Blue Bomber. Congrats, Ballsy. You just celebrated your own personal Grey Cup voting for Kelly. The CFL is such a bush league sometimes.

Brady will have something to prove.

Programs like Blue Bloods, the NCIS Seies, the Chicago series & Law & order will all be back. Popular comedies like Ghosts & Young Sheldon as well. It'll be interesting to see what they do with these series. I'm thjinking we'll see the last season of Star Trek: Discovery sometimes before 2030.

Hopefully, this fires up the Bombers the same way Hamilton disrespected them in 2019.

THAT is a freaking joke. Enjoy your off season, Chad you choke artist. Your teammates still love you.

I wonder if these shows can do as close to a 22 episode season without breaks between January & June? Or if that is even the plan? The TV season now has a fall & winter break to stretch it from September to May anyway. Plus throw in unscheduled two or 3 week breaks dujring the season as well. Usually the longest break is after mid November to Thanksgiving in the US to the first week of January & then another long break in March. Then back at it to finish the season in May with the last 4 or 5 episodes. The actors should be well rested as they've been off since April. Some may even want to get paid.

Did Kelly grab the trophy & run off the stage without an acceptance speech? Glad I necver watched this travesty of an awards show.

Let's be fair here, Nichols didn't have the level of receivers to work with that Zach has now. We kept signing 32 year plus receivers whose better days were behind them. We were starting Daniel Peterman, we had a couple of rickety Rider receivers (Dressler & Smith) who were always hurt. Our OL was just finding itself. Neufeld was always hurt. The young studs on the OL Walters drafted were young & inexperienced. Nichols came in & made us competitive. I'm grateful Chris Jones let him go for a 7th rounder & a bag of footballs. He doesn't get the credit he deserves. That injury he suffered was really unfortunate.

It looked like he kicked Lawler in the face which should have been a penalty. -

Wow you've left off a vacumous amount of info here trying to make it close. Als DON'T have an edge in specials. We have better punting & kicking as well as even on returns. Zach vs Fajardo? Really? Our OL is the best in the CFL. Huge edge in the run game. Bombers vs Als receiving: Even. Only because of injuries. DL edge to the Als. Linebacking. Edge to the Als. Secondary. Edge to the Bombers. Coaching. Huge edge to the Bombers. -

The CFL will conveniently let the Argos find a way. We know that. -
When I look at Kroeker I can't figure out if he's a young guy with platinum blonde hair or an old guy with grey hair. Ergo a young guy with premature grey hair or an old guy who colours his grey hair platinum blonde.

Thank you, bearpants. The days of small rosters & players that could go both ways.

These are the twenty or thirty somethings who think the CFL began in 2005 & their best chance at adulthood is to grow a Movember moustache. We've had a few covering the Stamps for Postmedia. They all dream about leaving Calgary & covering the Raptors, Jays or Leafs. -

Argo fans on social media are still trying to justify Chad kelly (probably) going to win the MOP Award by saying he was the best qb in the league because his team won 16 games. That's it. They won 16 games. That makes him automatically the best. As if winning the most games had anything to do with it. They don't like the criticism that Kelly is getting from other team's fanbases. Anyone see Bluto, yet? -
I hae a Tom Clements jersey from 1985 that I wish I could still fit into. It's waaaay to small so it sits in my closet.

I have a Brock jersey. Dude's arms will be cut off if he tries that **** in Hamilton.

You like The Crown? I don't have Netfkix so whenever I go down to Seattle to visit my son & daughter in law I binge watch it as much as I can. I'm at the episode where Diana met her future boyfriend Dodi Fayed who owned Harrod's in London. I'm going down there for Thanksgiving so I'll watch a few more episodes, I'm sure. Also binge watched The Orville right to the end. My family likes to go to bed at 10:30 & I'm more of a nighthawk so I have the time to watch these shows when they're asleep.

I'm not going to go back pages to see if this subect was discussed just because you told KBF to do so. I know already & I'll answer KBF's question with a bit of background detail for him, you & everyone else, Jim Van Pelt signed with the Bombers out of the University of Michigan. In 1958, he made the team as a rookie backup qb & played defensive back while Ploen was the starter. Midway during the 58 season, Ploen suffered an injury & Van Pelt took over. He played so well that Ploen couldn't get his starting qb job back. So he moved to the defensive backfield & played very well there. So well, that he had one interception in 1958 & another 10 the following season for 104 yards in 1959. Ploen was named a CFL Western Conference All Star that season at DB even though he came back to play qb the rest of the way after Van Pelt's shoulder injury. Van Pelt started the 1958 Grey Cup & Ploen subbed in for some plays as well. So they both played the position in that championship game with Van Pelt getting the majority of the snaps. Van Pelt was also the Bomber placekicker. He kicked two field goals & 4 converts that game in a 35-28 win over the Ti Cats. In 1959, Van Pelt again was the starter but suffered a hand injury during the exhibition season. He had to wear a cast on his non throwing hand. Still, he didn't miss a snap. In late September of 59, Van Pelt suffered a separated shoulder which ended his season & unfortunately his career with the Bombers. He never played for us again. During the off season, in late 1959, Van Pelt was drafted into the US Air Force for a 3 year hitch. After suffering his separated shoulder, Ploen had taken over from Van Pelt & he never looked back as he became the starting qb for the Bombers until he retired after the 1967 season. In between, winning 2 more Grey Cup championships at qb & also a finalist in 1965. Van Pelt completed his Air Force duties in late fall of 1962. He was a special guest of the Bombers at the Grey Cup in Toronto as they wined & dined he & his wife in order to convince them he should come back, They tried to get Van Pelt to sign a new contract for the 63 season with the Bombers but he turned down the offer to become a chartered accountant in Chicago where he lived until he passed away last year. Who knows why he turned down the Bomber offer as ther CFL was paying as good or better than the NFL at the time. Van Pelt showed no interest to play in the upstart AFL which began in 1960. However, salaries were beginning to rise as the new league was competing with the NFL & CFL for players. The Canadian dollar was on par with the US dollar back in those days so there were no implications with the exchange rate for American players going back to the US in the off season. Perhaps Van Pelt felt that the team belonged to Ken Ploen now after being away 3 years. Maybe he felt that he had lost his edge. He certainly lost his desire to play as he was ready to move on to other things than football. Whatever the case, he never came back. He settled into private life in the Chicago area. So KBF, Ploen never started 4 consecutive Grey Cups as a qb but he won 3 as a starter & played in 6 championships.

The Jets have been valued at $925 million. We are one of the smallest markets of the the 4 Big Leagues... With the smallest arena. Unbelievable.
