Warren Buffet was against Keystone as he owns a number of railroads. I've read that he wanted the oil to be carried by rail to line his pockets. He was a big Obama financial supporter,

I expect the Keystone Pipeline will be built now.

Would we have any interest in Franklin?
SpeedFlex27 replied to Taynted_Fayth's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
Why do people still think he is a free agent when it has been reported by credible sources that he isn't? The CFL needs to publish a free agent list & post it on their website. -
Lots of nervous people in the US tonight....

I really like Marc Trestman. Having him back in the CFL would be a great thing. -
Is lapolice the weak link in our offense?
SpeedFlex27 replied to wbbfan's topic in Blue Bomber Discussion
I agree. I think Nichols runs LaPo's offense to a tee. He understands it & it suits his talents as a qb. It's not pretty because our Canadian receivers aren't good enough. If we upgrade at Boundary Receiver & get rid of Kohlert replacing him with someone who can actually produce we'd be 15-20% better production wise on offense. He shouldn't be replaced unless he leaves himself. -
Curious as to whether you can vote in the election.

There is a portion of the fan base who think O'Shea must be signed because the team did make the playoffs but they're not totally happy about it. Perhaps they're just not sure about O'Shea.

Final Regular season CFL power rankings

I think the Esks are higher up than the Bombers. I see us fourth. Cal BC Edm Wpg Ott Ham Mtl SSK Tor -
Yeah, probably. Though Nichols is our starter as he earned it. Jones just didn't care for Nichols in Edmonton. Nichols is more entrenched here as the starter than he ever was with the Eskimos. Franklin would be for the future. He'd have a better chance playing here long term than languishing behind Mike Reilly in Edmonton.

Maybe we use our first pick to trade for Franklin? Just a thought. Riders fans seem to think he'll be a Rider sooner than later. That's all they've talked about since Chris Jones got to Regina.
-
It's about time we got the #1 pick as it was taken from us in the 2014 Draft to give Ottawa the very first pick. It was Our Turn!!

The other wack job on CNN is Trump supporter Kayley McAneny.

I think he hasn't learned to manage his players yet. The Nichols situation in Friday's game. Not pulling him when he probably should have. That really concerns me. Glenn could have come in yet he didn't until Nichols leg was almost broken. Ottawa's offense was going nowhere. They really weren't a threat to come back 10 points down playing a bunch of rookies.

I said this on chat when the game was playing. This could easily be a 5-13 team next year. Did we win with luck & smoke & mirrors this season? Our defense scares me. We lead the league in takeaways yet we are the worst against the pass & the run. Yet despite that we kept winning. All the luck we had with takeaways could turn sour. If our overall defensive play on pass coverage & defending the run doesn't improve next season to at least middle of the pack stats wise it could get bad. So, I'm happy with this 11 win season but really unsure about next year as well as our head coach.

Did he look peeved about not playing? I thought he looked unhappy.

I'm not convinced O'Shea is the right guy to lead this team for the next 3 or 4 years after the questionable judgement I saw tonight about playing Nichols the way he did. We all know that a new contract for Mike is just a formality. That Wade Miller will give him a new long term deal & quite frankly who knows what the Bombers will do next season under O'Shea. I don't have that warm & fuzzy feeling that he can have continued long term success. His judgement as a head coach at times just leaves a lot to be desired. Last night game just showed his stubbornness & that lack of good judgement as he almost sacrificed Nichols for the win. I'm sure Kevin Glenn could have gone in & did a fine job carrying the lead midway thru the third quarter to a win. Yet until Nichols got hut that didn't seem to be the plan. I just wonder why that would be? I get the will to win but when Ottawa is going for Nichols knees then he has to come out. We were lucky we didn't lose Nichols in that game. One last thing: We sure need Bond & Chungh back in there next game that's for sure.
-
He probably did. That would be standard for a back. O'Shea refusing to take out Nichols was insane. I swear sometimes I have no idea how the man coaches. To me, that was beyond stupid.
-
We can still grab second so we have something to play for so Nicholls will play. Glenn needs some reps as well if we get behind or ahead. I don't think we'll see Davis getting in.

Hendricks was up to around 93 pitches when they took him out but I think he could have finished off that inning & Maddon put in Lester too soon. Chapman was really struggling & almost lost the game for the Cubs. Will Indian fans now look to the sky & curse everytime it rains?

On the news, I saw a 108 year old woman in Chicago in a senior's residence who said she's very happy the Cubs won.

Passengers looks intriguing.

Just lose Argos.
