  1. Age & upside. I think they feel O'Leary-Orange may be ready to step up & is much younger than Agudosi. Also, we need to develop more impact Canadian receivers.
  2. I never saw the game as I was on the road but the question I have is why isn't our secondary physical like it used to be? They used to make the other teams receivers pay. Now they play with pillows.
  3. They'll just tell us it's none of our business. That players are entitled to privacy & to quit asking because fans have no right to ask. Or other bullshit like that. Until they want to know themselves. Lol.
  4. Where did you hear that? Farhan Lalji & Dave Naylor were talking about that cap about 6 weeks ago right after Rick Lelacheur was hired to replace Victor Cui. Naylor told Lalji the cap won't be going away any time soon. This is an Ambrosie initiative along with Craig Reynolds of the Riders. they aggressively pushed for this cap to go through so they won't get rid of it that easily. According to Naylor, Lelacheur wants the punitive financial measures of firing a coach or GM to stop counting against the cap to give teams wiggle room to get rid of management & coaches not performing. The actual cap would stay at the level it's at now.
  5. Season 3 of Heels on Starz has been cancelled. Damn. I loved that show. Was looking forward to it coming back. They made the announcement last week.
  6. The cap won't be going away anytime soon thanks to Randy Ambrosie & the CFL Board of Dinosaurs.
  7. It was disappointing. When Tyler got to SFU & the coaching carousel began, he could have gone into the Transfer Portal but he didn't want to. He wanted to stay where he was. I think if he had to do it over he would have transferred. He was competing for playing time with another qb from Phoenix who had transferred in to SFU from North Dakota State. They both shared playing time for 2 years.
  8. I know Rod Pederson. I used to feel the same way about him as y'all do but once I met him it's nothing but a radio act. He's actually a very good guy away from the mic. He pushes his podcast & has been dry now for a number of years. His drinking had caused him to be fired from his job as pbp for the Riders & Regina Pats. Life is good for the guy now & he's a lot happier. He's not as big a Rider fan as you think he is.
  9. Hey, c'mon you guys. You know it's none of your business. Your life won't be affected if you don't know.
  10. My son played qb for the College of the Siskiyous, a D1 Northern California JUCO school from 2010-12. They were undefeated in 2012 & won a State Championship. He got scouted by Texas Tech, Colorado School of Mines, University of Toledo as well as New Mexico State , California University of Pennsylvania & SFU. All the other schools backed out on National Signing Day except for SFU. He was also ready to go to Cal Penn as they offered him a football scholarship so all the tuition was free but the College president refused to waive the International fees as Tyler was from Calgary. My wife & I didn't have the $35,000 a year cost for fees so that fell through. Toledo pursued him the most. The coaches there said Tyler was their guy & he expected an offer from them. Then the entire coaching staff got fired a few days before & the scholarship offer was off the table. He had already said no to The Colorado School of Mines. The other schools went in other directions except for SFU. It's unbelievable how amazing opportunities one day can be ripped from your grasp in just a day. Tyler in a panic signed with SFU instead of talking to his Head Coach who had connections & may have been able to help him sign somewhere a few days or weeks later. Signing with SFU & not seeking advice from his JUCO Head Coach was a huge mistake. SFU had the worst D2 college program anywhere. No surprise football was shut down there. What a horrible experience. Three head Coaches in 3 years. Three OC's & three QB coaches. Guys transferring out every year. Live & Learn, I guess. If he had been scouted at JUCO, would Tyler have wanted to sign with a CFL team? I'm sure he would have.
  11. I have to admit, I didn't listen to the game or know the score until just a couple of minutes ago. I'm in my hotel room in Spokane. I actually did a little prayer for a win before I turned on my laptop. And... We Won!!!Now, BC has to beat us to the Western Final by finishing two points ahead with only two games left. Hoping the Bombers keep the pedal to the metal. One more Bomber win or BC loss & we clinch first place.
  12. **** off, Ballsy you useless POS.
  13. That entire Argo defensive secondary was playing with horseshoes up their collective ass all game long & making these flukey plays. It won't happen twice.
  14. What an interesting thread this has turned into.
  15. I'll be in the US so my data plan isn't valid. I usually leave my phone at home. Just take my wife phone as we'll be together. My phone is a crappy old I Phone 7.
  16. Those 3 hours in the car during the game will be tough. I don't know if I'll be searching for the score or not... It may drive me crazy.
  17. I'd nominate Brady for MOC & MOP. Zach's play has tailed off the last half dozen games save for the Banjo Bowl when he was pissed. He needs to bottle that feeling & take a swig from it when he gets complacent or loses his confidence. Brady woukld be a deserving choice. he could conceivably end up wit 1,500-1,600 yards rushing which is unbelievable.
  18. Farhan Lalji was cackling on twitter today just how many healthy Lions bodies were at practice. He sounded positively giddy. The broadcast is going to be brutal. Maybe it's a good thing I'll have to miss the game as I'll be on the road to Seattle. I was grumbling to myself about having to miss it but now I'm kinda glad I will.
  19. Going down that Carefree Highway.
  20. We certainly don't have a ball hawking secondary.
  21. I think KBF was talking in his sleep.
  22. "...but we don't care ..." (add on to your ending)...
  23. I like a little bit of seriousness in Bond. After Connery, Moore just didn't cut it for me. He played Bond the same way he played The Saint's main character Simon Templar. Not very seriously I liked Pierce Brosnan in the role better than Moore. He was closer to Connery's version of 007. Over the years, audiences change. Demographics change. A Bond movie used to be a big deal. Lineups to get in to see it. Now, not so much anymore. Not because Daniel Craig's style of acting or storyline affected the character. It's just times are different now. I think after 60 years, james Bond has run it's course.
  24. It'll be all BC the entire game. get ready for it & for the 20,000 fans in attendance.
