So, for all of you who claim they know how the cap works (Like Mike here & others) who scolded me that I don't when I questioned how things were being operated earlier, you have no better idea how things work than anyone else here. But thanks for stopping by & telling me I know nothing when you don't either.

Yeah, real smart until the losing comes & the screaming starts. Tha announcement of the increase in the salary cap was made official by both the CFL & CFLPA. Do you really think the CFLPA will suddenly change its mind & take that or a portion of that salary cap increase away? And if they do, how can teams be held financially accountable after it was formally announced?

I don't see The Next Man Up behind Collaros. Some think it's Streveler but jury is out on that. We all better hope it was Buck mismanaging & coaching his qbs. When was the last time a CFL team had an American Center? The 1960's?

Next Man Up. Next Team Down. You can only see improvement if the guy behind can actually play. That's what happens long term. Teams can't keep the depth going & they fall off a cliff. Huff sounded real good. people said the Stamps were the smartest & best run team in the CFL. Then crash. Now, Dicky the Huff accolyte is now being told he's stupid. He's not. He just followed the company line. Huff saw what was coming & decided he was too old to deal with the consequences.

The 1 or 2 beat writers around the team don't dare criticize The Trinity because they'll be crucified. Or worse, may lose their credentials. The days where the local media flocked down to Winnipeg Stadium to cover the team every practice are over. Teams control the message now. You know how to shut these wankers up? Laugh & say, "Just say 4 Grey Cups in 120 years?" That usually does it.

I dunno, I guess we fans that can see the areas that need addressing keep waiting for Walters to do something & he never does. What did I expect? I expected we'd improve our DL. I expected Jake Thomas would never be back. So, he comes back & they release Wolitarski. I expected we'd improve our OL. I expected that we'd be all in to try to win the GC at home this season. We haven't improved. Anyone who thinks we have in relation to other teams is naive. We've stepped back. Other than Logan, our FA acquisitions have been middling & really haven't addressed any needs. And yes, the Riders could win the GC here at our house. There I said it. So throw stones at me.

Ever try to call Shaw/Rogers customer service? You're put on hold for hours. Even talking to a tech expert if there is a problem is a 2-3 hour hour adventure. Companies thaat treat their customers like that deserve no sympathy.

Nothing from us other than the agreements we already knew. Pretty much a huge letdown.

So, I wanted to catch up on some shows that I missed like the FBI Tuesday shows. Went to On Demand & can no longer watch them streaming. It seems Rogers & Bell are having some pissy licensing dispute & On Demand has been removed on Stack TV, CBC, Global, CTV & City TV stations. Reading that On Demand may never come back. can still watch Space & other stations. Once again, the lack of cpmpetition in this country leaves us a the mercy of these two Canadian telecommunication giants. We suffer & they don't care.

For what it's worth. the media (what's left of it) hardly asks the tough questions anymore. Only one writer I know tries to sift through the bullshit that comes from the Bombers marketing fepartment or football operations. Whenever he asks the tough questions, people here on this forum & outside start insulting that one writer that still has an edge to his columns. "He's always been a prick." "He's just an ass.". "What a dickhead he is" come from the fans. That certain writer can't write a negative piece about the Bombers without getting blow back from fans here & elsewhere. He can't ask the Trinity any hardball questions as they are untouchable. I remember some media types like Jack Matheson & John Robertson who would hold coaches & GM's feet to the fire. Or write columns that would piss these Bomber coaches off. Matheson & Bud Riley had a feud that lasted Riley's entire tenure here. There was bad blood between them probably from his breaking a story in 1974 that Don Jonas & Riley did not get along which led to the ealey for Jonas trade. On top of that, Matheson had a football show on CJOB where he could tee off on the team live on the air. Matty was epic. He took no **** from anyone.

I get what you say as I grew up in an alcoholic home. It was awful.

Emmitt Smith had the Great Wall of Dallas blocking for him. I'd take Tony Dorsett over Smith in a heartbeat. As long as Thomas is on the roster & O'Shea is the HC he'll play a regular rotation.

Looks like we'll be running the same defense again, as well. Unless we sign a couple of vets for the DL in free agency. Kind of arrogant mistakes that eventually takes a team from first to worst. Seen it a hundred times in football.

We had that in 2019 & 2021. Instead of replacing veterans as we went along, we went to another style of defense that could win lots of regular season games but when we absolutely had to shut a team down to win a championship the past 3 years failed miserably. I just remember watching Thomas against the Argos being stood up & pushed back every play with our useless 3 man front. We didn't want Sayles.

We better be active trying to do just that instead of sleep walking thru this off eason as we seem to be doing.

Other blacks felt prejudice & racism yet never let that stop them from trying to make the world a better place. I never walked in his shoes as a man so maybe I'm the wrong person to say this. I'd hope that I'd try to see the good in most people instead of being this angry & bitter old man that Shivers became. If you let it then hatred will consume you. I meant to say his first game as GM against the Stamps in 2000. Bad mouthing the city, the Stamps & virtually guaranteeing a win for the Riders who lost. Shivers was defiant from the time the plane touched down to after he left as a loser.

Dukes is still trash. He had a pretty good OC & QB coach in Dinwiddie & he still struggled. He doesn't have the pedigree as an NAIA qb at Lindsey Wilson College.

Well, pressure from the Front 7 won the Eagles a Super Bowl. Took Mahomes right off his game & neutralized the Chiefs offnse. Hey, Osh. You used to win too when you had a pressure defense that intimidated & sacked qbs. Now, you keep an OTH Canadian DL who should have retired after 2022.

Sorry wbbfan, I respect your opinion except here. Dukes is trash. JBR says he has upside. Where? So much upside he lost the the QB2 to journeyman Nick Arbuckle. Yeah, he beat us.... Well no, Arbuckle didn't beat us, Osh being Osh beat us. That being said, not thrilled with the Patterson signing, either.

Why would you just bring in 2 players at such an important position knowing you're going to cut them anyway?
