  1. I'd like to ask very politely for some kind posters here to post everything they see, I will be buying these very valued individuals drinks at the first game.
  2. CFL draft is a crap shoot at the best of times, taking a chance on a big athletic WR who may never see the field is a chance id be willing to take. He has the tools where as Etienne obviously did not- that's poor drafting. Waggonner obviously did not pan out for us but that doesn't make him a bad pick either, with the salaries in the CFL a lot of times the guys could make more money pursuing other careers as much as we don't like it.
  3. I see you haven't replied to any of my other responses, you're cherry picking my friend.
  4. As a receiver. This man plays a skill position and was brought in to learn and hopefully play the position sooner rather than later.
  5. Yes, i agree that is definitely true with Americans due to there being so many of them and you can find diamonds. With Canadians it's far different in terms of numbers and most CFL clubs are aware of the good ones and therefore you have to end up paying them. A young developmental guy can be dragged along and at some point become the star player without having to pay him that way.
  6. Which has been our issue forever, Taking players already at their ceiling because we needed bodies to come in and start and ending up with a very average roster. When you bring players along regardless if they can't contribute right away, they have the chance to learn and grow in to a special player. We needed Etienne to come in and play but never developed. different situation. Very few Canadians come straight out of U sports and become all stars or even start, let's be patient, there's no farm team in the CFL like there is in the NHL (unless you're the riders).
  7. In what respect? His injury history? It definitely can't be football skill or athletic ability.
  8. Because there are so many receivers playing ST's right? Come on man.... Non issue, handled internally.
  9. Or they like JFG more right now and he'll come in given the chance.
  10. They obviously wouldn't have him on the roster if Walters and co didn't have a plan for him. Just because you haven't seen it yet doesn't mean he hasn't been proving himself in practice. I'm sure if he comes to camp and doesn't improve on last year he will be out but that's the story for everyone returning.
  11. Almost seems like you're hoping for him to fail. Similar thinking as those who were cheering for Pav to fail. IMO as long as he's showing promise what's the harm of letting a kid develop? Is he taking a roster spot from some star CDN receiver that we don't have nor do they seem willing to pay?
  12. scouts probably had their eyes on this guy for a while which made Bennett expendable. Kid can definitely run, 4.7 at his Height and size is not a bad time by any means.
  13. They aren't, thats why you need to draft one
  14. I think he was a bust, a first round pick for a ST player who played two seasons is pretty bad.
  15. Sounds like Walters is a busy man today
  16. I become less and less excited with each QB prospect we bring in. I do like a good strong armed mobile qb but generally there's nothing between the ears.
  17. Seems like this guy loves football and doesn't care where he goes, said he was in JUCO before the SEC. I kinda doubt he would have an ego, I feel playing the SEC is a big deal for a lineman as the defenses are formidable and the pass rushers are often highly recruited in the NFL.
  18. Fair enough, from the scouting reports I've read there definitely are a lot of knocks to his game. I'm assuming he's one of those "mean" guys that Walters and Oshea like.
  19. I just thought it was interesting enough the Bombers signed the starting RT from the 2016 National Champions, that has to of some significance doesn't it?
  20. agreed on all levels boys, when i used to lurk this site often if i did not see a thread about something i assumed there had been no discussion on the topic.
  21. It definitely makes you consider the level of competition he faced in the SEC and how it compares to the CFL.
  22. Thanks for the explanation. While i don't necessarily agree, I understand
  23. The site is not too busy too discuss every transaction made by the bombers in a separate thread. Just my opinion.
  24. I think this way is more interesting, we can discuss the prospect without distraction of 13 other topics at the same time. just my opinion.
  25. because the site is so too busy?
