The Winnipeg Blue Bombers have signed American defensive end Jay Person to their practice roster. The six-foot-two, 233-pound defender made 228 tackles, 56 tackles for loss, 27 sacks, nine forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries, and five knockdowns over 48 collegiate games at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He was a two-time AP All-American and was named the conference Defensive Player of the Year in 2022 and 2023. Person most recently spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, appearing in all three preseason games and recording four total tackles. He signed with the team after spending the month of July on the practice roster of the Toronto Argonauts, acquiring his release to return to the NFL. He had previously signed with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent and was waived in mid-June.

The thing that bugs me is how he makes up excuses for why they are losing while the game is going on.
