The report seems to be a couple years old by the way it reads. I agree with a lot of what is in it. The problem is, after two years it seems that a lot of it is still true. He should be improving with the rps he is getting in practice and the reps he got at the beginning of last season but in the limited amount of reps we have seen I don't see anything that has really changed from what the report says. I guess if Matt is out we are going to see quickly if there truly has or has not been any improvements gained. For the sake of all us Bomber fans I sure as hell hope so.

I heard on the radio this morning that the Bomber Offense is in the top 3 of the league in most offensive categories other than passing yards. Now I will admit I didn't fact check this nor will I because it doesn't bother me very much. My question is, why is passing yards so hard to get over when the Bombers are winning? As far as I know they call more running plays than any other team which means they run less passing plays than any other team so if my math is correct, they would more than likely have less passing yards than....any other team. Again, I didn't fact check anything because it doesn't bother me as long as the Bombers are getting more Ws than Ls.

I agree with this. I don't care how its done. Just fuking win. I don't care if Nichols throws for 61 yrds and 8 ints as long as the Bombers win.

I have said it before and I will say it again. I don't care how the Bombers win. Just Fuking win. Play hard, play on the edge of out of control without taking penalties and punish these fuking Stamps. Do your job and win. I'm still mad about last week to the point where I can't even listen or read about it so this week they have to win.

Yup. They stopped paying their guests so now we get John Hodge and Nik Kowalski. And Jared Clinton from the Hockey News on Wed mornings. That guy absolutely has the worst mono tone voice in this world. He annoys me the worst. I hate Wed mornings because of him lol!

It sounds like he forked up and the coach is not forking happy with him to me.

Why would he not be travelling with the team if he is a backup to Lawler and on the roster? What happens when Lawler gets his leg broken on the first series? Is there a team jet that can fly Matthews in stat? There are some odd circumstances that have been happening week after week with Matthews IMO.

That was disgusting to me to say the least. I saw it happen at least twice and the guy next to me said it happened three times. He was still a hell of a good back though lol!

The FAQ section on the CFL website has some answers on these questions. I am not sure if the teams offer different things but this section of the website outlines the minimums.

Could they not make cap room for some NFL cut that could help the team in the backfield or something? Im not at all saying that Matthews will not help the team when he does get on the field BTW.

When is Matthews cut down day? Oops I mean vet cut down day? The Bombers signed an American WR to the PR (although it sounds like he is a return specialist) which got me to thinking that Matthews hasn't helped the team in any way in the first third. Will he get the chop on vet cut down day to save the cap cost?

I was absolutely terrible this season. Plus I am terrible in the CFL Fantasy thing this season too. I sure as heck hope I fair better in my NFL Fantasy League. Good luck guys and girls!

And they have used a lot of max protection against the Bombers in the past which give Masoily time to make those long passes to Banks et al. This will be interesting because the pressure D has been successful for the Bombers so far and I'm not sure how that is going to work out in Hamilton. We shall see on Friday.

I agree with you and I think that's why Matthews sits this week. O'Shea wants to see if Lawler can redeem himself and he wants to see how Walker performs to see if they will be ok cutting Lawler if he has the yips again this game. He knows what he has in Matthews, they are 4-0 playing an Eastern opponent so this is the time to do a sniff test.

I agree. We can only hope they lose all faith and release him and that he will accept lower money to come back to the Bombers. It happened with Bond but Bond isn't CDN so it wasn't priority to get him back. PS - I don't really know the contract rules well enough to know if this could even happen.

It's cost. Everything is so expensive that people have to cut out the luxuries. i know several people at work who gave up their Jets and Bombers tickets over the last two years. Plus the Jets playoffs have absolutely taken away the Bombers Season tickets for some for sure. No money means watch at home. No TV for the cable cutters means find something else to do and lose interest.
