I'd be curious to see a comparison of penalties called per game by each crew.

Proulx is my favourite crew bar none. He's a classic "let 'em play" type ref. He's reticent to make penalty calls at all, unless totally obvious. I love that style. Minimize the calls both ways as opposed to affecting the game. Even the blown Williams call is fine. That's not his fault. Think about his position. Toronto should have made the right call and they *****ed it up.

I was surprised that the crowd didn't meltdown more. There were some boos for about 5-10 seconds then it was just straight back to business. Everyone in the building stayed confident that they'd get the job done regardless. It was so obvious that the one Rider fan in my whole section got up and left as soon as he saw the replay. He was down in the concourse by the time the call was made

I couldn't believe how brutal their announcers/analysts/color guys were like Luc Mullinder on the few times I've listened to them. I actually think small town radio stations like Portage La Prairie are better than anything I've heard in Sask. Their media are lapdogs, and their "professionals" can't hold a freaking candle to anything I've heard in every other province. Edit: that being said, maybe it's better with Derek Taylor now.
