All this talk about acquiring receivers...... some of them deep threat receivers......has Matt figured out the long ball enough for the Bombers to spend more dollars on receivers who would be standing 20+ yards downfield every attempt ?

He got the Bombers back to a respectable level I suppose...... as for what each player is worth specificly that is beyond my armchair capabilities to comment on. If Matt would have gained a playoff win or two the last couple years my guess is he would have been totally worth his salary no doubt (?)....
but like Booch asked, is Collaros worth his wage ?.....maybe I can armchair this stuff after all...cause collaros is way worse a QB than what Matty is right now...

Lulay and his team may accomplish that......but after that they are done no matter who is at QB..... the first good hit on Lulay will be very telling, if he is playing at all.

Lulay won't make much difference. His career is winding down and he has been in and out of the line up too much to come in this late in the season and be as effective as he once was.

After watching Calgary, Edmonton , and the riders all play crappy yesterday sure gives me hope for the Bombers for the rest of the season.......it's like all the teams are back to square one and are just getting out of training camp.

You have to notice things like that..
They did a lot of weird stuff last night. Rod Blacks enthusiasm for Ottawa first downs compared to the Bombers getting a first down was ridiculously noticeable. And went on all game.

I can agree with most of what you say - however I would rather have a defense that can protect a lead. And I agree Ottawa has a good team and fought back hard. And the 2 points is 2 points regardless of how it is achieved. I am just not sold on the Richie Hall defense and have not been sold on him for 5 years now. When his defense can protect a lead and play at the level they did against Edmonton game in game out - he will make a believer out of me.
What defence in the history of the league has ever held teams to 3 points or less game in and game out ? That's a tall order or very very high expectations.

The old Nichols has yet to win us a playoff game....... I hope a new Nichols shows up...and shows up this weekend and throttles the riders with a 400 yard passing game...... An Harris gets a nice even 100 rushing, and whatever he wants outta the 400 passing
then get the parade plans out
