Perhaps you should tell Eskimos to stay away from the word Eskimo I've seen it suggested Eskimo is a slur...it's obviously not. If Edmonton wants to call themselves the Edmonton Ukrainians I would be pleased as punch and would make up a big batch of perogies for the occasion. That was, without a doubt, the most sycophantic display of broadcasting (Nielson/Suitor) I've heard since Bob Costas called the Jays 2 World Series runs. Absolutely embarrassing.

Perhaps I've seen too many movies in my day...but I can't help but think if the Riders wind up coming to town they're gonna be a little psyched out after the way the boys beat Montreal. No matter how rational one is there has to be a bit of "divine intervention", "meant to be" in the back of your head. And if/when things start going sideways for them that feeling may only amplify leading to forcing things and making it worse. I can see it messing with their heads.

It really is a shame for a once proud/dominant team. I enjoyed the Manitoba/Calgary trash talk and rivalry with my Calgary relatives ever since I was a kid but it's no longer a major source of conversation because they simply don't care anymore. A pity, really.

The Bombers were a different animal in that even tho they were sh*tting the bed early on they had the benefit of the faith and goodwill generated over the last few years of success. Win games and they will come.

If it's an injury I suppose I can see it but then why not just sit him and let him heal properly for the postseason? Resting him with first on the line just seems counterproductive.

And an honourable mention to Demski who really righted the ship on fumbles this year. He locks it down tight every time now. But why has Brady been all but benched in the last 2 games? You have any insight?

God forbid they have to "join this program already in progress". This is why having the games broadcast on a dedicated sports channel is a must. So they're consistently bush league with the CFL and NFL. Good to know.
