  1. Wow......GO BLUE........ Zach...Kenny....Brady......big contracts came to play..... Hey BC....lol that's return on investment..... Lets go in the 2nd half....
  2. The best part of that game.......no more airhorns.......
  3. Depends....
  4. Thanks.....FYI Tuxedo is now sold out, just bought the remaining...... Lets GO BLUE
  5. NOOOOOOOOOOO..............
  6. IF we win.............I will have to try directly from them for the Grey Cup.....
  7. Anyone else have difficulty finding "bomber beer"....I had to go to three locations and only found a total of five.......
  8. excited.....nervous.....anxious..... Two very evenly matched teams....beautiful weather.....sold out stadium.....which line wants it more, which line can be more physical...that's who wins today
  9. Well......I share the dline concerns....to play devils advocate.....BA has experience and I think is worth the risk over Kelly.... Taylor has been there done that....I have no idea how many snaps he sees, or how game ready he is...but he has seen and been around...maybe his experience will be more benificial.... Wilson....gives me flashbacks of Biggie last GC.....I hope he is healthy...if he is he is a very good player.....but..... IMO we are game planning a defence that wont feature much pressure on Harris
  10. I agree, and no disrespect to Wilson, but we are appearing to find a groove with our Lb's.......I am leery of changing that up......
  11. Simply put Rourke IS NOT worth the contract he has today.......... Time will tell if he is what we saw this year or what we saw two years ago I also agree with Booch, Betts was virtually a non factor.....and one step further I would also consider Covington mostly a miss..... Taking emotion out of the equation, BC got a terrible return on investment with both Rourke and Betts for this season, and it would appear it is compounded by fines and potential draft pick losses.........very poor financial choices were made out on the West coast.......
  12. BA's experience, leadership and smarts would be welcome IMO......
  13. Willy has in the past taken over games.....now would be a great time to see it again.....I just don't know if it is scheme, by design, personelle but we have not being able to get to opposing QB's.....we have not got many sacks this year...I don't think anyone should count on it against Harris......It would not surprise me if he is virtually untouched all game.... most of the season our defence has faired really well.....we finished first in the West and won the season series with both Sask. and BC so it must be working for us....I just don't think we will see Harris on his backside too often....but I would really love to wrong..... Our most disliked rival, our prairie rival coming to a sure to be sold out PAs in early November for the West Final.......Long range forecast showing plus 10 with a light wind....we can disagree on many things on here but how does it get any better than this.....The stage is set for an incredible day of football......
  14. Why take the time to chime in to negatively portray peoples opinions.......and to backhand bully posters into seemingly be inferior to your thoughts and opinions....especially if you don't take the time to share your own thoughts and opinions... Screens are a question mark this season.....perhaps a more knowledgeable X and O guy can jump in...but I agree that screens are and have been a very valid way to counter an aggressive D-line.... Brady has shown he has the hands to handle them
  15. Sask. has a good d-line, they will get pressure.......a lot of the final outcome of this game will be how we handle this pressure. I don't believe we can stop it, so we /Buck needs to figure out how to slow it down, and use the aggressive Sask. D-line to our advantage. IF Lucky is closer to healthy and his speed and "twitch" is back he could be a very valuable asset this game.....we started to see him used in some motion, I will take a healthy Lucky one on one against a Sask LB or DB outside the tackles......Brady is not really an off tackle kind of back, Zach does have success with his right roll out's so no doubt Sask. will be looking for some contain....IMO in the BC game it was the interior guys overpowering the BC interior and collapsing the pocket on VAJ that caused most of the damage......This does worry me as our interior has not been great and Zach doesn't have the athletic ability VAJ does.......I would love to see us run at and stretch Betts....IMO he is very athletic and quick, but he is not great or disciplined against the run.....IMO he will/does get caught over pursuing and is something we can take advantage of... I really do believe that the biggest factor in the outcome of this game is our o-line vs. their d-line.......whichever line is more physical will be in the Grey cup....... Let's be ready to smack them as soon as the opening whistle sounds till the millisecond it blows and could be a penalty......every down every player especially on offence, block hard, run hard initiate the contact, do everything in our power to wear them down....We are the rested healthier team......with the home crown noise and energy behind us....absolutely no more of this coming out flat.....
  16. Sask took away the deep ball, the wind assisted them and for whatever unknown reason, BC didn't gameplan a November style smash mouth run game........Much like every other early exit they have had.......round peg square hole, that game plan has proven not to work in the prairies in November....If the game was in BC, they very well may have won... Sask's defence played well, they got serious pressure on VA......On offence they showed what they are....dink and dunk, high percentage plays... As mentioned above...Harris will have success all day if he is allowed to execute the way he did yesterday....but get a few touches on him early and he doesn't get into that rhythm.. It won't be easy but we can win......GO BLUE
  17. The horns, for the life of me I don't understand how in today's society with all the awareness and promotion towards workplace injuries, sports injuries, etc. compressed air horns are allowed at any public sporting event. It baffles my mind and I believe only a matter of time until a fan in the stands files a strong injury claim against the ownership group for allowing that...I mean anyone can take 3 minutes and google hearing loss and decibel levels of compressed air horns and see that this is has prime lawsuit potential, each week there are 300k +/-witnesses across Canada..... Second vent about those horns. TSN or the CFL need to figure out a better way to "filter" them out during broadcasts.....it ruins the broadcast having constant honk, honk, honk air horn sound all game....heck they don't even just do it when the defence needs a big stop they literally honk those damn things from pre kickoff to post game every single game.
  18. Beer, vodka, beer, vodka, beer, beer ....... Gust of wind....beer...........sprint, hurdle the Ottoman, beer, reality sets in we won the West, that was my afternoon.......
  19. That was a complete uninspired BS half of football.... Missed Feild goals Dropped balls Taking sacks Multiple mental penalties IMO poor game plan not runni g the ball early Sloppy tackling Poor Qb pressures We simply look uninterested....I just don't get it
  20. I have also pondered this. Defences seem to have gotten quicker and smaller, what would a "bruising offence" look like against modern CFL defences. How would a physical big oline with a 6th/TE type (think Willy J type size) and a true FB with a guy like Brady look? Could they overpower and wear out modern day CFL defences? The TE would need to able to at least add some receiving ability, and the FB would need to be able to pound the ball, they couldn't just be blockers....but with all the programs around the globe a few of those guys have to exist. It would still leave 3 true receivers even with the "heavy" sets. Perhaps I am wrong as no one is trying it, but I think a set up like that could counter the speed and smaller size of modern day defences....I would say scoring is down QB play perhaps is down overall, and defences seem to keep getting lighter and faster at some point offences need to try something to counter that
  21. The good VAJ came out to play........same supporting cast and he looked head and shoulders better than Rourke......It's his team for now
  22. This is a tough game to gauge Mtrl......they have first, it means nothing in one respect...on the flip side they just got embarrassed by BC.....do we see a high flying, physical leave it all out there Mtrl squad of mostly starters to try and get the mojo and winning vibe back...or do we see a Mtrl squad trying to keep fresh but not get knicked up and use this to get some back-ups live bullets in case they need them come playoffs..... I believe they lost their starting right tackle last game, so injuries will be fresh to mind with them....but so will the feeling of BC dissecting them and stuffing them from scoring over and over.... Regardless, we are rested, "mostly" healthy and we better be ornery especially along both lines after what happened before the bye. IF we lose it makes our rod much more difficult...so let's just win One thing I can guarantee I will be annoyed and peed off by those damn horns before the first is over......
  23. As of today, the Argos are one of, if not the hottest team.......it's sucks in the respect that Chad is part of that and many people from across the league do not like him for what he has done off the field, and many valid arguments can be made and have been made as to him even playing at all...but on the field he is a contributing factor to them being arguably the hottest team right now in the CFL.
  24. Well, trying to be positive.....we now have great film on our guys deficiencies against a really good d-line bringing it..... We did make some adjustments that helped although too little to late..but at least we showed we could....so the positive spin is now we have a few weeks to digest it, review it, scheme it and be prepared for it....ala better to learn our lesson now and have a chance to scheme against it, then be caught by surprise by it in the playoffs, because there is no nice way to say that we had our arsses handed to us along the line....
  25. Rourke has talent and is young, I believe barring injury should have a long a career in the CFL, however I also don't see him leading this year's Lions across the finish line. He is not as Farhan labeled him a top 20 QB in the world, that was unfair to him I agree that the contract BC gave him is a catch 22 it locks him up but.....can the still give him a top notch o-line and the type of receivers he needs to be at the top of his game....it will be tough I do question though with the current CFL QB talent if someone will "overpay" BC for VAJ...I'm not totally sold on VAJ's contract screwing BC....
