  1. they couldn't come up with a better picture to use for Adams? looked like a mug shot...
  2. simultaneously? sure, why not! I'll put your request in...
  3. the one thing I don't like about Collaros is that he is so boring, brings no fire to the field with him at all... Streve keeps everybody fired up!
  4. you watch, Demski won't see the ball again this game...
  5. both of those guys tackling Grant led with the helmets...
  6. did you see him on that one play, standing back their eating a sandwich?
  7. smart choice, my friend... I can imagine the type of set back a 'slip and fall' could cause and it would be easy enough to do in weather like this...
  8. I'd rather see him throw it directly into the ground than waste a play on those screens or 2 yard tosses that result nothing,,, well, 2 yds... nobody covers him because he's not going to go anywhere when he catches it... we've seen this time and time again... we might be surprised with the difference an additional blocker could make and the extra time it could buy Collaros...
  9. maybe instead of sending Harris out 2 yards or to the side waiting for screen, how about him do a little blocking so maybe we can go down field...
  10. before getting hurt he had the worse completion percentage for passes 30+ yards.... like you said though, deep balls can tend to be less accurate... but, Lapo did actually have some routes/plays schemed up with Nichols in a 5 step drop that once his feet were set he could throw the ball to a spot and not have to have excessive amount of hold time by the line and there was enough space for the receiver to adjust... but it's like those games where you see Demski get the ball on first down and have success... Harris is struggling a bit on the evening, yet you don't see Lapo go back to Demski , or anyone else, the rest of the game... it's like his play book contains only 1 'non-Harris' running play in it for the game... that's it... lol...
  11. less than an hour until kick off! starting to get very excited!
  12. really? he's listed on the depth chart... was he a last second healthy scratch?
  13. you're probably right... don't know how many more yards but as you said, it would be significant... one of Nichols flaws is his deep ball accuracy, however, when you have your receivers running routes at varied levels and in such a manner that it can create larger throwing windows he is very effective because even if he is off the receiver has room to adjust and run under it...
  14. he does the same thing with receivers as well... like why would you have Darvin running 3 yard curl routes? or why did it take until game 17 to see Whitehead using his speed down the rail deep like he did in game 2 for a TD? Whitehead without doubt the fastest person on the field and he rather have him fielding screen passes and HOPE he can juke everyone instead of just having him burn them with his speed?
  15. well, bless your heart...
  16. I came to that same realization this year... Nichols isn't nearly as bad as I thought he was, it had a whole to do with the game plan that Lapo gave him... and what really burns me, Lapo actually changed things up in games 3, 4, and 5 (I believe) this year and Nichols looked like a completely different QB... hitting the long ball and all! but as soon as Nichols threw an INT in that Hamilton game it was right back to the Dink and Dunk... didn't trust Nichols...
  17. then I stand corrected about my assertion that he should have...
  18. even without the good replay they would have been better challenges than the one he threw away on the Darvin Adams play that he was looking for PI... wasn't even close...
  19. good point, I'll put my soap box away and start the positive energy thing for luck! GO BOMBERS!
  20. of course not, Lapo will call the very same game that he does every game, however, it may not work this time because Calgary undoubtly will see it coming this week... would you believe that Lapo basically called the same game for Collaros that he did for Streveler against Calgary? two completely different style of QBs, yet the same game plan called...
  21. MOS does a lot of quirky things, like his use of challenges... makes me just shake my head... like Calgary's bounce pass at the 1 yard line? and I believe it was the 'roughness' call on Maston when it was easy to see it was a clean hit? or this one, the fake punt call in the 2017 WSF game... that was a real gem too!
  22. ok, now I'm following the conversation... he threw me off when he started out complimenting your explanation... never mind me, lol... I'm caught up now, thx!
  23. see... I knew that it would come off as if I was suggesting a conspriacy, lol... I don't even own a tin foil hat, promise...
  24. I'm confused... I though the two of you were in agreement.... it sounded like he agreed with you... maybe I'm missing something...
  25. I blame MOS and Lapo both for Streveler being hurt in the first place... it's like that once Collaros had been in town long enough to get a good feel for the playbook they just threw Streve to the dogs... for example, in the prior game Streveler didn't run near as much, he pretty much stayed in the pocket...it was like they were trying to make sure that he didn't get hurt... but the following week they ran him the most that they had all year long... when he got up and was obviously hurt, they just run another play... then when he can't get back up they finally pull him yet send him back in later... if that wasn't enough, they continue to call set runs for him... it was obvious that was hurt, I imagine that a lot of you all here were like me, saying 'why is he still in there!'... and Calgary was very physical in tackling him as well... nothing dirty but they were trying to neutralize Streve... and it became obvious that Dickenson was sending the head hunters for him on that day... so much so that he felt it necessary to conference with the refs before game to remind them that once Streve pulls that ball down and tucks it, he is no longer a QB, he is a runner at that point... he does this to avoid any confusion about penalties for rough play... who does that? if nothing else, MOS and Lapo did nothing to protect Streveler and minimize the possibility of an injury... I think it has as much to do with the fact that they did want to start Collaros but felt that the only way they could get away with doing so was if Streve couldn't answer the bell... why else do you have QB1 running the ball when it's obvious to anyone that doesn't attend St. Mary's School for the Blind that he was hurt?
