There was a stat I read about WJ’s stats when Jeffcoat was in vs when Jeffcoat was out… basically if the Bombers have two good DEs, you aren’t blocking both of them, and good luck picking which one.

Much of Calgary's success hinges on Jake Maier, who I am still not sold on. The league seems to pump his tires, but yeesh.

Depending on his cost, potentially a low risk/high reward signing. I'm not sure I've ever been more afraid of a kick returner in the CFL.

No one necessarily at QB. Everyone (including me x10) really wants Fine off the team. He sucks, we know he sucks. People are mostly excited about Mace/other new coaches. Expectations this season aren’t too high, mostly just want to see a culture reset.

I don’t think I’ve seen any Rider fans tout Harris as the guy… he is who he is. Around here, the Riders could acquire the entire Blue Bombers roster and there would be a narrative that they haven’t improved and will still finish last

There wasn’t a single human in the world last year who picked Montreal to win the Grey Cup before the season started. I for one am grateful that Dickenson is gone, and that will hold me over for a while.

Truthfully I only watched the 1st half, then decided to work in my yard. The OL had both good & bad moments, I'll chalk up some cohesion issues to the new starters. DL... Interior is fine, edge rushers I would've liked to see more from. Tackling also still not great. I won't dive too deep into a preseason game, but overall I'm pleased. The biggest takeaway I've had so far is that there are no significant injuries so far, feels like that was a trend the last 3 years.

Can never discount what a 5'8" guy did. Few his size dominated the way he did, WD7 was always open. Especially on corner routes into the endzone, essentially uncoverable. Will never forget his TD to seal the 2013 Grey Cup. As someone who is also on the smaller side, he was my idol playing high school football. Made it seem achievable to keep playing.

It's so difficult to keep a dynasty moving, but in the CFL you've had BC from 2004-2011 rolling, Calgary took over from 2012-2018, and it's been the Bombers since 2019. Seems like a 6-7 year window of success before some struggles come. FWIW, with the way WPG recruits, I don't see that drop coming anytime soon.

I hope he succeeds too. League needs an influx of new talent.

I always liked what I saw from Brown. Stylistically he reminds me a bit of ZC, but scrambles a bit like Reilly. Jury is absolutely out on him, he could be the next Mike Reilly, or the next Nick Arbuckle.
