  1. No Sir. But I am suggesting we are getting far from his best. This is not A-grade Lapo we have been getting of late. It's C-grade. I fully agree with the rest of your post.
  2. It has been reported that Lapo has very upset at not being allowed the Sask interview. Very upset. He felt it was within his contract to be interviewed for other opportunities. What did we expect from a disgruntled employee?
  3. He's had many years to make the change. Why now are you willing to turn on him?
  4. Yup, noticed that as well. Was going to say something then realized that if the Bombers are going to play like this, we deserve it. There are consequences to losing. This is one of them. Had we won, Ripper would have stayed under the bridge.
  5. The Bomber offense is easy to defend and there is lots of Streveler film now. Riders closed off the edges and weren't going to let Streveler run roughshod over them again. They forced Streveler to throw the ball. With our receiver corps that equals trouble. Did Lapo plan for that contingency? Nope. Same old. No QB is going to be successful running Lapo's crap.
  6. I think we have to give him a chance with a different coach. Lapo is a QB killer. So is O'Shea.
  7. True. I was trying (perhaps poorly) to make the counterpoint that you can toss your coaches (cards) and hope to get better ones. That's the gamble. If Walters does toss his HC card in for another one, I don't think there'd be too much backlash. Admittedly we pretty much know what's going to be available but it's always a toss-up whether we can sign them. When even Noeller is unsure that O'Shea will be here next season I think we need to get our heads around the idea that there could be major changes. We need to play our hand well if it comes to that.
  8. To win at poker you can't just stand pat unless it's hopeless and you chose to fold. If you have a good hand and want a better one, you toss your worst cards in hopes of getting better ones. It might work, it might not. But it's your only chance of winning it all, which is supposed to be the goal, not standing pat hoping everyone gets a worse hand than yours.
  9. Always the first the say told ya so but when he plays for a different set of coaches and lights it up you'll be nowhere to be found. I'm sure you know much better than Bob Nielson ...
  10. Funny. It's like saying Nixon wasn't responsible for Watergate.
  11. You just do it. Sign everyone. Who's going to stop you?
  12. A tenacious one and one where he'd defend his turf to the death.
  13. This is a good "perspective" post. We haven't lost anything yet. We are playoff bound and anything can and does happen in the CFL.
  14. A few days ago you said there is no way O'Shea would ever leave. What caused you to change your mind? The Trinity IS the organization. They certainly haven't needed anyone's permission to fix things and we're going on 6 years. Miller has a job, he can't do Walters' job for him. Walters has a job, he can't do O'Shea's job for him. O'Shea has a job, he can't do Lapo's and Hall's jobs for them. To win a championship each of these people have to be working at a championship level. It's hard to believe that that's happening. It all starts with Wade Miller and I haven't seen him anywhere near a Grey Cup since he took over.
  15. Don't be sorry, we're all PO'd and you are certainly correct in stating that the problem runs deeper than simply inserting Streveler for Nichols. Anyone who thought it was that simple is wrong. Y'know, the players really do get a raw deal. Every week they have to lay it out there for all to see and it's very easy to point to their play and criticize. We all do it. The coaches OTOH tend to get a pass because we don't get to see what they do or don't do behind the scenes. It takes a lot longer to know if there's a problem with a coach, especially if he's being covered for by his boss. I really think we need to look at this coaching staff. Even Bob Irving is starting to ask some of the tough questions and frankly, I don't like the answers he's been getting.
  16. I think you're just PO'd with this team and venting your anger on Streveler. You're blowing off the fact that Nichols won against inferior competition and lost against superior competition (Hamilton) just as Streveler is now.
  17. Nope, Nichols didn't play the Riders this season. Nichols' played the soft part of the schedule and his wins came against the worst teams in the league -- BC, Ottawa, Edmonton, and Toronto. Streveler likely cashes in those wins too. Nichols also beat Bo-less Calgary throwing for 0 TDs and running for 2 yards so he doesn't get much credit there. As soon as Nichols played a good team like Hamilton he was throwing picks and looked awful.
  18. Right, and some act like Nichols has never thrown a pick in his life when we have all seen him do it too.
  19. Lapo. LOL!
  20. Uncalled head-shot there. Damn!
  21. Of course it does. What fan doesn't feel entitled? Personally, I don't really care whether I like O'Shea or not. All I care about is winning in the playoffs and winning a championship and that's where he has failed for me.
  22. Damn, they are good! Muamba hits a ton!
  23. Exactly, it's the fact that he hasn't.
  24. The other site is worse. 5 seasons, 1 playoff win, his refusal to explain what is going on with his team in a candid manner, his blind loyalty to players and coaches, the smirk. Lots not to like about O'Shea, however, if you had to go to war with someone, he's a guy I'd want in the trenches with me.
  25. Really missing a guy like Randle in his prime back there. We need a leader to step up in the secondary to stabilise things. I'm thinking Alexander is that guy.
