What’s the difference between what I shared a what a journalist writes? Because I’m not attached to a newspaper I’m an imposter? You don’t recognize articles from legitimate news sites like Bonfire? What exactly is your criteria for “real” journalism? Perhaps you’d prefer me to just cut and paste future articles as a forum post? Also, what am I advertising? I’m sharing an article that I think is discussion-worthy on a forum.

I am still perplexed by your reasoning. Don’t fans on this site want people to hear their opinion? What’s the difference between that and a blog post? Only difference I can see is that a blog post is longer and accessible by a link. Either way, my article is not a blog post. And by the way, I read 3Down and their stuff is getting a lot better. John Hodge is a friend of mine and his pieces are top-notch. Also, how do you expect CFL content to grow if not from people that aspire to hone their craft, even if they’re fans? It’s not like the newspaper industry is growing. This is the new way people consume news. Yes some of the stuff on 3Down is fluff but the newspapers are dying. Free Press is the only newspaper in the country that sends a cfl reporter to away games. That’s Jeff Hamilton. It’s a sad state of affairs. I’m trying to grow the cfl by writing about it and talking about it on our show. If you don’t want to read or listen to my stuff because I’m not a trained reporter, all the power to you. But you don’t need to disparage it.

I do think it’s O’Shea’s only blind spot, his love of Canadians. Just a supposition on my part but I don’t know how else to explain those roster decisions. I hear ya. In 2014 all we wanted was a playoff berth. By 2019 all we wanted was a cup. Now we want the 3. Amazing how expectations have changed. I don’t want to jinx it so I’ll refrain from using the dreaded D word again (not that one!) 😂 And I’m so glad you enjoy After Dark and the articles. At the end of the day, I just try to write and talk about what I as a fan would want to consume.

Given the rule that it’s not reviewable unless it’s called a turnover I think refs should just err on the side of caution if it’s close and just call it a turnover and let the CC get it right. It shouldn’t be about whether you’re “embarrassing” the refs, just about getting it right. I think most educated fans understand that close calls need replay and the refs are just human. Like they did in the first half of LDC where Zach had 218 yards!

The only thing I could see was that maybe he bobbled it and didn’t have full control?

I am concerned about Sask’s run defence though. Brady got like 40 yards against each. However, he was very effective as a receiver vs Sask which is something we’ll see more of should Sask make it to wf

I’m more worried about Sask than BC. The quick passing game of Trevor Harris is effective vs our scheme and we barely beat them in LDC & Banjo Bowl. Do I think we’re a better team? Yes. But they stop the run very well. If it’s Sask, Zach will need to play like he did in the 1st half of the LDC.

Fair but if they fill every gap and there’s nowhere to go… maybe if you’re an elite running team it doesn’t matter 🤷🏻‍♂️
