  1. Oh yeah right. For some reason I thought they brought him in after preseason.
  2. That Aug/2011 home game against Edmonton is for sure top 5 at the old stadium for me.
  3. Super irritating. It’s basically being dicked around into paying for another form of the cable TV I didn’t want.
  4. Griffen is another under the radar, Nick Taylor type signing. Walters and the front office have been in a relative rough patch but Griffen and Jones were huge pickups.
  5. Watching film too, the report says he doesn’t make sound decisions in the 2nd level. Really sounds like just a big body who isn’t particularly good at anything.
  6. https://nfldraftdiamonds.com/2023/10/cameron-wire/ OL from the neg list has a pretty rough report here.
  7. As early as his first Training Camp guys like Florio and Chris Simms were touting him hard.
  8. I’d give Dolebananna or Cornelius a cup of coffee at least. Corny first probably, behind our line would probably have more value. I still think if they’re going to trade for anyone it should be Dustin Crum. He can run SY and most if not all of what they had Strev do. Plus, I mean, we’ve seen him win a game or 2 behind a bad oline. Ottawa’s not giving up Masoli I wouldn’t think, but I’m sure we could pry Crum away for a second/third rounder and maybe a guy like Bridges or Cole.
  9. Your point is totally valid, don’t get me wrong but Mahomes was pretty well known to be the next big thing, even when he was behind Alex Smith. Lamar Jackson would be a better example, teams were still trying to draft him as a WR.
  10. That was the excuse for Kelvin McKnight and Tavares Harrison being on too though.
  11. Also different body types being used as NFL QBs now. In the 90s a guy like Kyler Murray would have been up here. On the other side too, a Tracy Ham would rip it up in todays NFL .
  12. 9/10 times I’d agree. In this particular season, under these exact circumstances, no way am I risking Ford getting hurt as a returner right now. Agree on everything else. Another option could be Johnson off Chris Smith on. Then you could ditch Augustine for a game and get Hubert back in for DL depth.
  13. Rewatching a bit tonight, I missed most of the first half for my kids birthday party. 5 minutes in and I’m already irritated at the commentary. I can’t express how much better the LDC was to watch with Lapo doing CC. Also, outside of a west final I’m not sure I’ve ever heard the stadium that loud on TV. Truly impressive. Props to all those who were there, big time.
  14. on the plus side historic effort is more sustainable than historic turnovers. Historic effort = 2021 Historic turnovers = 2017
  15. I can only speak for myself, but my ripping on 2024 HOF Inductee Nathan Rourke is 100% because of TSN’s stroking of him, nothing against the player himself.
  16. Drew Edwards was good, despite being a Hammy guy. He and Dunk carried it in the beginning. That anonymous insider thing was the best they ever did. It’s not as bad now as say 2 or 3 years ago. At least now they have guys like Ben Grant who actually write analysis. There was a point where everything was either power rankings (the stupidest media creation of all time) or like “What positions would the Riders play if they were a hockey team?”
  17. I thought it was a lost season as much as anyone on here, right through to the home and home with BC but now I don’t know. I’m actually getting a good feeling. What’s everyone’s thoughts on Edmonton? They actually worry me, they’ve got a lot of weapons, especially the run game. I think our secondary can handle them but if we dress 5/6 DL and they stick with the run it could get dicey.
  18. It’s been a glorified Ticats and Riders site since day 1.
  19. Speaking as someone who didn’t wear a helmet as a kid and got hit by a car in grade 6, your idea is a great one. Helmets are important.
  20. I agree. Haba’s just not cutting it. With the smaller amount of linemen we dress especially, we need more out of that edge
  21. I can’t argue any of that, especially the point about agents. It’s not out of the realm of possibility to suggest a club not wanting to help out a rival, but probably letting my imagination run away with me in regards to other teams going out of their way to stick it to anyone else.
  22. If we’re just using him for what Strev did this year, the answer we’re looking for is Dustin Crum
  23. All good points for sure, especially Arbuckle. I guess I’m stuck on the gamesmanship aspect of it. Especially in an undecided division, personally I wouldn’t give us a thing without a kings ransom coming back. If I was a GM, especially in the west, it’d be “Give me an elite starter, high draft pick or have fun with your rookie backup QB”
  24. In the off-season I’d agree. I can’t see how or why Calgary (or anyone really) would do anything to help us in the middle of the season for as little return as a 5th rounder.
  25. I’d take Powell in a vacuum but I think the Ticats would ask the world for a trade right now. Shiltz is probably the next best option, but again any team is gonna ask a lot .
