  1. Aaron Brown, West, Ty Jones and Delbert Fowler. I believe Battle came along later in 1987 or 88.
  2. The Bombers are a consistent draw win or lose (which is great for the club). I was being facetious I guess but what I meant was the league and TSN cater to teams where the fans stop going when they lose.
  3. Maybe we as a fanbase should be more fickle, let the league bend over backwards to cater to the Bombers for a change.
  4. If Woli is hurt they need another receiver too. I don’t think Lucky coming on has any correlation to potentially signing Rasheed. Wilson/Clercius/Lucky/Demski/Johnson. I’d put Bailey in the lineup over any of those americans right now, and maybe Demski too honestly.
  5. This is my main concern right now. I know they can still make the playoffs, ect, sure. I can’t see it this season. They just had 2 gimme games against backup QBs to get back in the hunt and couldn’t get it done. If the only change coming is Lawler, I don’t see that alone as enough. Can’t see them beating BC once right now, let alone twice. Won’t win on Labour Day, maybe the Banjo Bowl. I don’t think this team beats Hamilton either right now. Christ, they’d be in tough against Edmonton. Delete all this if they use the bye week to revamp the offence and the middle of the D. Until that happens it’s going to be more of the same crap.
  6. Early 60s wasn’t that old for a HC until recently. As the current ones age, it will be more prevalent again
  7. What’s the deal with Fatty Arbuckle anyway? Is it a personality thing that’s led to him being traded so many times or just bad luck?
  8. I’ll probably catch **** for saying this, but..I wouldn’t be upset if they traded Olivera for a huge windfall. Love Brady, he’s probably my favourite Bomber right now for a number of reasons but they just don’t use him enough for having so much cap space tied up in the RB position. I don’t think they can manage with Zach, Brady and Kenny all on the roster next year, it just leaves too much deficiency everywhere else.
  9. Big no to McCheese from me. He’d look worse than Collaros behind our oline.
  10. I’d like that. Pete Costanza would be a good OC candidate for next year I think. Pipe dream, but if they could somehow pry Macsymick (sp?) out of BC to run the offence, AHC/OC maybe? I really don’t think much of Buck as OC, especially as a play caller. If they get things back on track that’s actually a distinct possibility.
  11. Right. And guys like Bryant, Neufeld and Willie who make a lot could end up calling it a career. Willie much less likely, but the point remains there should be enough cash for 25 to bring in some big talent in FA.
  12. I’d tend to agree with a lot of this, except I don’t think it’s a good idea to fire MOS midseason and replace him with Buck. We can say who we’d want on here but undoubtedly that’s what the club would do. Right now, despite what some of us want, both Walters and O’Shea will get another chance to fix this for 2025. It’s arguable if one or both should, but can we realistically expect anything else? What I’d want is a fresh start with the offence. New OL first and foremost, maybe the offensive coaching staff as well. QB is a huge concern moving forward. Their best option is honestly Collaros retiring after this season. That would allow the money to fix everything else. An elite OL or 2 in FA and a mid-range salaried QB would go a long way.
  13. It’s the only thing that pops in my head any time I see ovaltine
  14. A crummy commercial? Son of a *****..
  15. The time to make this right was last December. It’s too late to do much of anything about it now. They’ve buggered 2024 completely. They’ll probably get one more offseason to fix things but the offence alone needs a full overhaul, it’s more than just a couple of pieces and tweaks. There’s nothing to build around. They could very well already be screwed for next year too if we’re being honest.
  16. **** it already, just run quick kick every 2nd down.
  17. Probably the best “serious” football movie.
  18. In 1.5 quarters Tony Jones already done more than Bighill has all season
  19. Pretty hard to predict anything but a loss here. Probably 22-19. Probably another week of “we’re inches away”..
  20. I mean, that’s how I personally am to a point but I’d hardly say the whole city. I think that kind of overestimates the emotional investment of the average casual fan.
  21. This is the point I think @JuranBoldenRules was making throughout the year. Wilson’s a good player, but salary and injury history made him a poor fit for this season. It’s just not a position to spend much more than league minimum on. They had a rookie in TC making plays all over the place, they chose to keep Wilson and now they’re stuck with nothing and nobody.
  22. I’d say Walters doesn’t get enough credit for 18-21. Osh probably gets too much. From my somewhat limited knowledge Andrew Harris, Chris Randle, Jamaal Westerman and a few others deserve more credit than anyone for building the locker room “culture” or whatever you want to call it. Both O’Shea and Walters own the rapid decline equally imo. Wow. They really are ******. That’s the worst looking roster I’ve seen since 2015.
