Random thoughts after watching the whole game very late last night. Bombers played pissed off and I like it. Strev is a surefire Bomber HOF player and just a joy to watch. I don’t think his body is going to make it through the year. Kolo, and to a lesser extent both guards at times still dragging the offence down. I’m not sure that they can get away with the lack of passing game against better coached teams tbh. Willie had his best game since 2022. Especially when he was playing next to Woods. The punter just sucks. So does Kramdi. So does BA. Get those 2 guys out and the D will be better than 22 and 23 by the end of the year. On that, do we not have an LB that can use their arms on a tackle anymore? Kyrie Wilson had his best game of the year and still got a exploited a ton. The first team to stick with the run against our D is going tot have a field day. Clercius looks bigger and taller than he actually is, think he’s gonna be a real solid possession receiver. This week and last may have been 2 of the worst officiated CFL games I’ve seen since the Murray Clarke days. The crowd was great (on TV anyway) except we need to re-train them to STFU when we’re on offence. We’re not out of the woods by a long shot. Love to see a win. Very fun game. Still see too many of the same issues not being dealt with to get super-excited. Hopes high, expectations still pretty low. TSN- Rod Smith in particular still comes across as hating the Bombers. Example, the sack by Willie/Adams in the 4th, the delivery is like an Ottawa home radio announcer. Thomas looks like he’s getting held a lot but a more physically capable player would still be able to fight out of a lot of that and make the play. Bonds has been good-great, but whoever plays next to Deatrick Nichols gets an all star nod. If he played dine instead of HB, he’d get the same attention as Pickett from TSN and the media. One more thing, it’s too early to say they’ve completely fixed the kick cover units, but they’re certainly improved.

Not saying he’s a dirty playER, but what else do you call that play? He elbow dropped Brown in the head. The one Streveler took was worse yet even. Both for sure fines. The Ottawa player could arguably be suspended, and I wouldn’t really complain if Kramdi was either tbh.

3 Stars Streveler Brady Willie HH- The whole punt cover team. Not a decent punt on the night and they managed to keep Deadmon mostly in check. Turd: Kramdi, that was an objectively dirty hit. If it was on a Bomber QB we’d be freaking out. Actually the hit on Strev in the 3rd was just as bad. Both should be fined, in not a 1 game suspension.

Are you being facetious? Genuinely asking, not trying to be a prick. If Zach was out for the year, that game would have gone the exact same way. They don’t have any receivers.

I feel awful shitting on Bighill, in past years he’s been one of my all time favourite Bombers to watch. I’d put the anger towards the coach and management who kept him in this role. BA playing is worse for the team right now anyway, change it to the Useless Old Players thread. High hopes but huge difference between being an ST ace and a starting MLB. Kyle Knox

I honestly though they were going to get blown out, like big time. I like being wrong sometimes. This feels nice right now.

Agree with all of this. Wilson’s had ample time to show he can do more than absolutely nothing. I feel about the same of Mitchell as a player to how you do of Wilson I think, but Mitchell had less time at WR, so if they’re going to give one of them another shot I guess.. I think they should have gone 3 American OL after the first Ottawa game.
