  1. I was trying to ignore you referring to a bucket hat as your child, I’m glad you clarified that.
  2. I’m just super picky about hats. To each their own. I really like the ‘47 Franchise cap on the Bomber store website right now fwiw, I might go pick it up.
  3. He’s from Brampton, Onatario. I wouldn’t know one way or the other about hockey these days, I just know he was one of the all time greats for CFL games.
  4. It’s never the same
  5. Agree on Gord Miller. Smith is only good behind the desk, he has the delivery of a male Cassie Campbell. Hate him as a PBP guy. I never thought I’d dislike a voice more than Rod Black. Nielson should be doing pro wrestling. For my money Marshall Ferguson is the best PBP guy on TV currently but it’s a very low bar. Lapo should be the #1 colour guy, he’s great at it. Duane Forde is fine. Suitor’s an idiot. DT is fantastic and I selfishly wouldn’t want to lose him but he’d immediately be TSN’s best play-by-play announcer.
  6. Nailed it with this. We have like 10-12 gameday guys under 30 and only 1 player on the whole active roster right now under 25 (Clercius) and 1 on the 6-Game (Garbutt) That’s not sustainable in any way.
  7. Anyone else think TSN is borderline unwatchable (unlistenable?) since Cuthbert left?
  8. I haven’t liked him since he got away with swinging his helmet at Biggie
  9. Yeah @pw13 was saying he was decent there too
  10. Yeah I wouldn’t argue that too hard or anything, given it’s just speculation on my part. Either way I’m hoping they still bring in another body or 2 for the DL. At the very least they need Fayed plus one more (Woods) on the AR. Ideally a third guy to audition as well before Garbutt comes back- this is less likely but I’d really like to see them bring Taylor Upshaw back, you guys who know more convinced me he was better than Rivers at the end of preseason.
  11. I would think it would be more of a matter of the others availability too. If they’re living in the states, some of these dudes just aren’t willing to come back and forth, could have a different opportunity or job outside of football pop up in the interim period. They could also very well have more guys on the way. One would hope anyhow. I’ve disagreed with basically everything they’ve done through camp, I’m willing to give the benefit of the doubt on this one move.
  12. I agree. Bringing back Anthony Bennett or a Keion Adams or something would have been lazy. Fayed seems like a legit prospect, he was just injured so early on. Plus, I’ll just be happy if he’s serviceable enough to let Adams go back inside and avoid any more Jake Thomas than necessary.
  13. Sucks about Fox Yay about Smith After reading up on Ali Fayed, I’m hopeful. Ngl, I had no idea who he was. Every little bit helps along the DL right now.
  14. Man, I wish there was an NFL Game Pass type service where we could see the all-24
  15. 1. He doesn’t look *worse* than in Hamilton at the end or Sask, but no better either. 2. As far as I can see, if Geoff Gray still wanted to play football, he’d have probably been our starter at RG or RT out of camp
  16. I don’t believe they do. Unfortunately they don’t have the depth to back up the front 4 either lol
  17. I think you’re right.. I don’t remember him in TC. I guess the guys that performed and got cut anyway said no thanks?
  18. 1. Because it looks like it’s dead. 2. Depends, who’s “people”?. I won’t pretend to have seen it as far back as Mike and Booch (wouldn’t have mocked them for it either, those guys have kind of a track record for knowing what they’re talking about) I saw a bit in ‘22, much more toward the end of ‘23. After the Grey cup loss it really sunk in. Edit: I saw the issues but still got blindsided by just how quickly they crapped out. I thought up to and including Week 1 that the talent we still have would be worth another year of above .500 football.
  19. He was dating Princess Diana before she died..
  20. I don’t think they necessarily needed to drop back, but off tackle, zone read, something other than the basic wedge play would have been nice.
  21. I think this is a great point. The O ran best when Pete Constanza was helping put it together. Since he left, it’s more George Costanza. Speaking of future HC candidates, Pete would be a good one imo
  22. First of all, throwing deep all the time or not at all don’t have to be the only 2 options. Of course posters will have an issue with too much of one or the other when it’s not working. Balance is key. Number 2. No one was complaining when the schoolyard stuff was working, it’s amazing to watch when it does. Now it’s not, and Zach doesn’t seem to be able to adjust his game at all. Thirdly, That’s on Buck and the OL as well though, it’s not straight black and white the QBs fault only. Use Strev as 1B, (and let him throw) if he’s having success and Zach still isn’t, make the switch.
  23. Strev (and the whole team) had 2 atrocious games in October of 2019, no doubt. Also a few very good-great ones before that. Did they not bring Collaros to start only after Streveler messed up his ankle though? We don’t win that cup without both, I’m just saying, without Strev getting hurt in the second-last regular season game that year, I don’t even think we see Zach take a meaningful snap as a Bomber.
  24. The point of showing these highlight was, he physically CAN throw the ball, which a couple guys were saying he can’t, or has a weak arm. Will his decision making be sound? Can he consistently smoothly run the offence? We have no idea, but it sure isn’t a question of his arm. I’m suggesting as others are that at the very least we use Strev as a legit 1B Quarterback when Zach is struggling and not only bash n crash. I think if used correctly he could be closer to Dunnigan than Ken Hobart is what I’m trying to say.
  25. Well, I mean that’s a bit of a strawman argument. A kick in the ass is better than a kick in the balls, doesn’t mean you wouldn’t rather get a handshake.
