  1. Why the hell did I think he was in the Pro Bowl? Lol Ritchie did cut him for an early mistake though right? Or am I thinking of somebody else?
  2. Agree with this. I think Buck struggles hard at adjusting in-game.
  3. Yup, cut a returner (OG Antonio Brown) for I think not knowing the No Yards rule. Guy ended up making the pro bowl for Miami Dolphins. Edit: Completely wrong, disregard
  4. Exactly. And that vet team won a GC in 2004 so good luck getting Osh to change that mentality.
  5. Receivers, I mean Schoen? They’ve brought in quite a few others that got the job done over the years, just not all top of the league or anything. Returners before Grant, we had some decent, some not. Troy Stoudermire, Charles Nelson, Ryan Lankford all had their moments. Again not spectacular, but average-solid. I’m still holding out for Chris Smith, guy looked really good and @Booch said he’s kicking around still.
  6. I’d like to see it too, no way it’s happening. $5 says he goes to Montreal
  7. This sounds pretty accurate. The family locker room stuff is a draw sure, but more for established vets/FAs. I’d guess the facilities/stadium/trainers/nutrition kind of thing would be more of a selling point for American players. Like you said though, the bottom line is an opportunity to further their career and/or some quality reps on tape for the NFL. If word gets around that we sit guys on the PR for years I suppose it doesn’t really matter how good the scouts are.
  8. Yeah, we can see the effect after him being in BC for a couple years. I’ll echo that he was a huge loss.
  9. Ok, I didn’t know that. I could argue the point remains. Keeping track of a guy who spent a week on the Lions PR for 4 years is good scouting.
  10. Westerman still had to be scouted, regardless of weather people knew who he was. They still need to watch his film, reach out, convince him to come up here. That’s all part of scouting, anyone can make a neg list. Bailey was never anywhere else in the CFL before here. and yeah, I typed BA twice.
  11. American scouting? Oh yeah for a decade. Yeah totally. Nichols, Alford, Jeffcoat, BA, Wilson, Schoen, Dru Brown, BA, Strev, Mike Jones, Santos-Knox, Stove, Holm, Eli, Jamaal Westerman, Woli, Leggett, Sayles, Bailey all sucked during their time here. Not to mention a boatload of others. Fire Goveia. Come on.
  12. Newer guys then, point remains, he had his shot here.
  13. That’s true of anywhere really. Drinking water is the last thread holding the fabric of our society together.
  14. I think Montreal’s D is on a run like ours in 19/21. Still, even just a dog and pony show probably kept us in that game. Im trying so hard to cope with complementing Montreal. The reality is, I’m pretty sure the team buggered up the QB situation and Streveler had better be the answer or this thing’s toast.
  15. I keep forgetting he even played in Sask. I only remember him getting hit by Simoni, and getting shut out by the Bombers in 2018. Yeah I would have completely chalked it up to Montreal being good otherwise. I’m still hoping that was the biggest factor. He couldn’t hit anything though. Those quadrupole pumps before ridiculous underthrows were just wild.
  16. I just realized in Montreal’s last 3 games, their D has made both the last 2 MOP QB’s look like old pee diapers. Maybe they’re just really, really good. If ZC plays like that against Ottawa though, I’m calling him Uncle Rico from then on.
  17. If last year was any indication, I hope he’s in playoff form from the get-go..
  18. I meant a full game, but you’re right that counts. I’m positive he wouldn’t have led that comeback, that was an awful, awful game from him
  19. At one point I’d have expected him to. Now, I don’t know. Last time I saw Zach play that badly, he was about to be run out of Hamilton.
  20. https://3downnation.com/2024/06/10/hamilton-tiger-cats-sign-qb-taulia-tagovailoa-brother-of-miami-dolphins-star-tua/ Could be a big deal down the line
  21. But he’s tall!
  22. Meh, he was one of the younger guys who did have ample opportunity here. I’d pass, rather see what the new WRs can actually do.
  23. Without getting into the guys personal details, I have to push back against the AH bad attitude narrative. In hindsight, it was still the right move, but I mean, the guy was going through a really nasty divorce.
