  1. Case in point. I’d disagree on Milanovich-Litre. That’s the kind of guy loser teams sign in FA. You’ve gotta be able to draft guys who do that stuff.
  2. Yeah the drafting’s a huge issue. They’ll barely have any starting quality Canadians at all in 2025 at this rate. We’ll have an aging Demski and Olivera, couple OL and 20 gritty special teamers from Bishops who run a 4.9 40.
  3. If O’Shea had his way, they’d have been trotting out Drew Willy well into 2017. Remember that.
  4. Not to just crap all over everything, but a legitimate question. Did Walters not make a single move or signing all season post-TC? Did he and the front office do anything at all? Who’s the last impact player they’ve scouted? Dee Alford? Cole? Something’s definitely weird in the organization and has been trending that way over a year now. Was Ringmaiden a bigger loss than we’d thought?
  5. Your guess is as good as mine. There’s a quite a few stupid reasons for it, and very few good ones. I don’t know that I’ve seen an OL get consistently knocked on his can as much as Kolo. Idgaf what John Hodge says. The guy’s sub-par and we all know it.
  6. For me the DL issue is the interior. Since Stove left, they don’t push the pocket at all from the middle. Either the ends collapse it or the QB gets all day. Furthermore, without Willie and all his knockdowns I’d bet the D would be dead last in yards allowed.
  7. And he shouldn’t be. Eli is a quality player I’m eating a ton of crow, but no he is not a bad QB. Still a goof, but he played well. Credit.
  8. Maybe he should be the Fullback then.
  9. The body really goes downhill fast after around 33.
  10. He has his good days but as a whole, it’s starting to look like the game is passing him by. Hasn’t ever really had an answer for max protect. It’s how Hamilton shitkicked us in the 2019 regular season. Tbh, I’m quite surprised more teams haven’t used it exclusively against us.
  11. Our secondary used to come flying down on everything and lay out big hits, right up until the beginning of last year. BA’s been playing much softer since his injury and they don’t really have any big hitters to make up for it. Parker can do it when he’s coached to. So can Nichols. The rest, I’m not sure either way.
  12. I don’t think it would have mattered. The offence couldn’t do anything anyway by that point. It’s not close. Put Collaros in that era and he’s slightly above average at best.
  13. They tried to use the sweeps to Demski as tendency breakers so much this year that they turned to just tendencies.
  14. I’ve still never seen a second of footage from the postgame in 2007 never mind the last two years
  15. Not that it would make a lick of difference but if we wanted to prepare a couple questions/statements, I’d be willing to call in to cjob tonight. Pigrome? Nah, he wouldn’t have done anything different. Agreed the focus needs to be 2025 Also, I gotta go back to the punting. How in gods name did they roll with Sheehan and his crappy gimmick all year?
  16. It’s a little more nuanced than that. I don’t want to see the club hamstring itself paying 600k to a quarterback who doesn’t play well in the fall. I don’t want to see a repeat of Dunnigan/Danny Mac and that’s what this is starting to look like.
  17. Do or Die made a joke listing a bunch of posters as “veterans who should be cut” earlier in the thread. @rebusrankin was replying to that
  18. I’m still pissed off, but after reading that, like ****. I’ve always said I wouldn’t trade MOS for any other coach in the league. I don’t think that anymore. I’d take Rick Campbell with the talent we have now. Yup. Gotta take a long hard look at who’s getting paid and why.
  19. That bolded part is simply someone in a management role who doesn’t want to do the hard parts of his job. Seriously, does MOS think this is a ******* Disney movie? How can you think like that as a pro head coach? When the mantra has been process and preparation for nearly a bloody decade. Actually JFC.
  20. That should be our core anyway. You get rid of those guys it’s pretty much the Other Bomber Forum where everybody posts like Gail calling into the coaches show.
  21. 1. Zach. Fair-weather Quarterback. 2. Hall- Blitzed into max protect all game. 3. MOS- For reasons we all saw and discussed
  22. If they “run it back” it’ll be all the way to 2008.
  23. Kolo, Grey, Biggie, Houston, BA can all go, or step into backup roles. Can’t keep both OT’s however it shakes out. Start Hallett at safety, make Lawson the rotation guy on the line and find a big fat American who can push the pocket to play next to Walker. Briggs, Cadwallader, Bennett, Exume, Thomas are all beyond useless. All the globals on the PR are useless. Let a million front seven prospects go so we can keep a Japanese lineman who will never see the field? The gimmick punter can hit the streets. Hall needs to retire. Boudreau can Bou-Go. Quit trying to play ST like there’s a 75 man roster. Re-stock the PR with actual prospects and re-stock the gameday depth with guys who can actually play offence or defence. Count me in the trade Collaros group. I’ll always love him for 2019 but we can’t pay 600k for a fair-weather quarterback. Pay Brown half that and use the rest to fix the back half of the roster. Pay Walters whatever it takes to come back and put MOS on a short leash like they had to in 2016. Build around a core of Brown, Olivera, Lawler, Shoen, Eli, Dobson and Richmond on O. Cole, the Jeff’s, Wilson. Nichols, Holm and Parker are my only must-keeps on D Give Grant another chance with better ST schemes but I’d tell him to keep his apartment back home too. They might have wrecked him trying to use him as a running back this summer. Build for a year under those circumstances and we have a great shot at 2025.
  24. I hear you, but save the platitudes right now man. We’re all going to hear this all day today. We all know there are more important things in life. Most, if not all on here, are lifelong fans of this game. We love the Bombers because our fathers, mothers, grandparents, whoever. We love the game because someone we cherish loved the game before us. For better and worse, we love the game and the team more than the average fan, and everyone on here gets why. We spent nearly 30 years dreaming of something, and are now having it agonizingly ripped away in slow motion. Sometimes even by the very people who were meant to deliver it. We were collectively slapped in the face last night in so many ways. I (and possibly others on here too) am also personally dealing with the slow realization that a single television network is completely ruining the game I love. This place right now is for us to vent and hurt with others who truly get it.
