  1. I’d argue it wasn’t getting rid of Dave Ritchie, but keeping Jim Daly in 2005 was the bigger mistake. Ritchie screwed up the team with roster management and personnel choices. (If we think Osh is bad for that..hoooo boy) Keeping Taman around for another 5 years wasn’t great either but I get they couldn’t pay anyone else.
  2. I think it’s going to be a tighter one. McCheese isn’t going to do anything but go 48/60 for 112 and a pick. Kadeem Carey and their running game could hurt Bombers. Calgary will have some film on Brown. 22-18 for the good guys.
  3. This. Not like we haven’t seen the same guys upstairs now **** up consistently on the field over the last 20 years. I’m surprised they don’t have Murray Clarke up there calling the shots.
  4. Back in the day, it was called the Elgard rule
  5. Mike Kelly was worse. Dickenson at least has a couple playoff wins. Fwiw Tim Burke was worse than any of them. Re: Kelly..In 2009, Bombers had 4-5 players on D that kept them from being a 0 win team.
  6. Every job Barker’s had connected to the CFL gives me one thought. “Could they not have found anyone better than this?”
  7. Lotta time left. Edmontons done sfa since Collaros went out. I’m 70/30 they pull it out still.
  8. Bombers came out super flat. Edmonton ran the ball well, plus some gimmicky stuff. Got out early. Collaros made a Corny-like int, got ridiculously roughed (and hurt). No call. Challenge. No overturn. Brown came in and played well. D figuring it out in the 2nd quarter.
  9. Almost halftime thoughts: This sucks. Refs suck. Edmonton doing nothing special. Even with Zach out, this is far from over.
  10. Not too long ago, Condell was one of the most sought after OCs around. Football cycles are odd.
  11. That one doesn’t quite ring, but “Calgary Stampeders Classics” on YT has hundreds of old games from the 80s-now. All teams too, not just Calgary.
  12. He stubbed his toe. The backup’s been a deer in the headlights.
  13. I ****** love revenge games
  14. I can’t imagine how demoralizing that would feel. Genuine thanks for your years of service.
  15. I get what you’re saying, but can you honestly be confident in Nichols hitting the darts? Specifically the one from the last regular season game, and the deep shot to Adams in the WSF? In my mind, with Nichols every year would have ended like 2018 did.
  16. Looked like the same way they film BMO, or when the Ticats played at Guelph for a couple years.
  17. Why are both teams wearing home uniforms?
  18. I’m a little Kolo, short and stout. I’ve reached the ceiling, please take me out. When I get a one on one hear me shout. Tip me over, it’s two and out.
  19. That makes a lot of sense. Alexander is on the line half the time anyway.
  20. I’d rather see if Parker can take over at dime. He’s a sound tackler, and quicker than Darby. Of everything wrong with this team right now, I don’t see what you guys do when it comes to Houston. He’s been one of the only guys making plays. Daramy-Swaray is another guy I wouldn’t mind seeing in Darby’s spot. We need to see way more physicality there. ADS can thump.
  21. Kolo was undrafted and is undersized. He also tries really hard. Prototype MOS guy. I fear it will take a miracle to get him out of the lineup. Question for the more knowledgeable guys here Re: Oline. How often are the protection calls changed up in general? The last 2 games against teams with former Bomber OL, the line had its **** pushed in. Would Coture or Desarlais know enough for it to make a difference, or is it just coincidence?
  22. I remember someone in the media complaining that he kicked a FG with no time left, but it was game 1 of a season series. Yeah, I’d like to hope he’s a little harsher behind the scenes. Not full Kavis, but there does need to be a few consequences.
