  1. They’re playing Holm in a different way than last year. Tough to compare. Playing deeper and coming up to tackle vs playing man all the time. Younger had said this over the summer Easily best in the league but we see him snubbed every year. I think this might be his best year yet.
  2. ‘Ford was victimized for the biggest play in the game, a 76-yard flea-flicker from Cody Fajardo to Philpot that came midway through the fourth quarter. Ford set his feet after the ball was handed off to Walter Fletcher, allowing the receiver to get behind him and the entire defence. Fajardo hit him over the middle of the field and the University of Calgary product outran Ford and Evan Holm in a footrace to the end zone. “It’s just eye discipline — it was bad on my part,” said Ford postgame. “I looked and I’d seen the running back had the ball and he was still running. I was like, ‘Oh, it’s a handoff,’ then he pitched it back and I was like, ‘Oh, shoot.’ Bad eyes. My eyes are supposed to be on my guy. Stuff happens.”’ 3rd down nation article today about the flea flicker.
  3. Ok lurker coming out of the bushes for the year here…. The players all describe O’Shea as being “a players coach.” He’s loyal to his players, even if it’s sometimes to a fault. They’re not seen as just a number to switch in and out of the lineup every week like some teams. And then how many guys do we see take a pay cut to stay in Winnipeg? Loyalty breeds loyalty.
  4. Damn sad about my und guy, Siegel. Best of luck to him.
  5. Holm will get a workout invite. He got 2 post UND without this cfl film. The better thing to question would be whether he actually gets signed. I also think they’ll have him at safety not corner. Brady, while I would love to see him get his bag in the nfl, is a dime a dozen down here and never had nfl interest. Hoping he gets a workout if he wants one, but he might be a cfl for lifer. Regardless, I’ll continue to rep his UND jersey wherever he plays. Just a ******* dog. It would also be interesting to see how he does behind a different O line situation. gotta add here: we have to pick up mason Bennett this season. Another great UND guy. dudes a stud. Rescue him from the slums of Hamilton.
  6. Well I had a great time at the grey cup. I’ll be in detox for the next week. Gotta say (sorry in advance to any Hamiltonians) but what a **** hole. Felt like Detroit. What a weird spot for a stadium. I don’t have much else to say that hasn’t already been said. As a past coach one thing I can’t get out of my head is… Dressing Schoen and Bighill was beyond stupid. Makes player safety look like a joke. Any player wants to play for their teammates and bring home the cup - heck, back in the day I’d have played no matter what shape I was in. It takes a responsible staff to say no and think of their future….. They’re obviously not going to play to their full potential, and then if they go down, they just used a whole roster spot.
  7. I just arrived at Toronto airport. Next stop Hamilton!
  8. I think people were allowed to vote only up until playoffs so his horrendous eastern final game isn’t considered i think if this vote was redone Brady would win by a landslide. I really think this is the leagues way to boost torontos sales
  9. Also about biggie, he was holding back of knee or calf on the sideline. Devastating. You could hear the collective gasp in the stands
  10. Whistle and the whole sideline was yelling clock to go down. I was on the 40 yd line lower bowl
  11. This was my second game in person ever and it was awesome. Better than a vikes game. Had people ringing bells in every direction. Tinnitus is worth it.
  12. The view I saw their yelling at him to go down to run out clock
  13. Ive said this before but I’d take Parker over rose or Houston. Though would be my priority to get Houston out.
  14. I’ll add that Houston’s inclusion makes this abundantly clear.
