  1. That contradicts the content of the link I shared from CFL.ca.
  2. I hadn't heard that. According to CFL.ca (hardly a reputable source for up to date CFL information, I know) QBs are still their own designation outside of National or American. Teams should get a tangible benefit for rostering Canadian QBs in my opinion.
  3. It's a hilarious joke that Canadian QBs don't count for the ratio.
  4. Shawarma Khan get out, Holm Cooking get in!
  5. Bombers' attire and camouflage clothing are formal wear in rural Manitoba, judging by my extended family. This hat seems destined for great popularity.
  6. If Holm gets an interception tonight Booch has to marry his mother-in-law
  7. An honour to be mentioned in the same breath. Mrs. Holm, in her own divine way, gifted and nurtured the DB Deity, Evan Holm, bestowing us with his remarkable presence in the defensive backfield.
  8. Evan Holm stands as the heartbeat that pulses through the veins of this team, infusing it with an irreplaceable virility and unwavering passion. His presence transcends mere participation, intertwining with the team's collective soul, breathing life and youthful vigor into its every endeavor. In his unwavering dedication and fervent commitment, Evan Holm becomes the very embodiment of the team's essence, of Blue and Gold, a guiding light that illuminates their path to Grey Cup greatness.
  9. I'm tired of these Thursday games! I've got a work dinner during the game again this week, making it the second game in a row that I'll be missing. How frustrating!
  10. I tend to take losses very personally. I've only been a passionate fan since around 2018, so I've mostly experienced the positive moments. My son, nephew, and brother-in-law are devoted fans who have been through the tough times. I watch games and discuss football mainly with them, and they help me maintain perspective and appreciate our successes. They find it amusing when I get overly upset about minor setbacks since they've endured the darker periods of the franchise. After a loss, I usually feel pretty down and don't feel like posting here. I've also missed most of the disappointing games this year due to being out of town camping with the grandkids. Maybe that's for the best, as I strive to maintain a positive and encouraging online presence regardless of my current mood.
  11. My wife prohibited me from having leftover chili for breakfast, citing this as the reason.
  12. I've been back a few times, it is quite lovely if you ignore their sticky fingers and obnoxious horns.
  13. It's referred to as indulging in the local cultural scene. I had my wallet ready to compensate the "cultural performers," but it vanished by the time I returned to the hotel! The boss wasn't pleased having to cover my expenses for the rest of the week. Fortunately, my wife found this story incredibly amusing and took delight in sharing it with our friends and family, much to my chagrin.
  14. I hate the city of Montreal with a passion. On one of my first work trips as a young man my wallet got stolen on a gentleman's night out on the town. It was a real pain in the arse to replace everything and the rest of the trip was so stressful and tense. One never been back and I blame the city and have never forgiven them. Down with the Als, down with the Habs!
  15. Thanks to a family camping trip, I managed to avoid witnessing this stinker of a game. Our previous family outing happened to overlap with the dreadful inaugural game against BC. It seems like my son has a knack for scheduling, almost like he's clairvoyant! 😂
  16. Ragging on Holm is pure nincompoopery. The Ivory Interceptor will prevail!
  17. Jones seems to have an unquenchable thirst for power. Who'd want him as their coordinator? You'd always be side-eyeing him, wondering when he'd swipe your gig with that metaphorical broadsword. And don't be surprised when he bolts for greener pastures leaving you holding the bag, just like he's done time and time again in the CFL. Team player? Nah, it's all about Team Jones. He's a wannabe Belichick, minus the actual talent and success – which just makes him a jerk.
  18. He's from before I followed football. Why does everyone hate him?
  19. Unlikely, he'd need to achieve 35 completions to accumulate that amount of yardage.
  20. Browsing through these responses, it makes me think some of you would be of the opinion that The Reverend was actually the protagonist in Footloose, and unfortunately, he ended up on the losing side of his determined struggle to outlaw dancing in the town.
  21. The folks here are such sticklers. Let the players have their fun—it's just a game, after all. Come on, lighten up and enjoy the little things in life, you party poopers. Life's a wild ride with unexpected twists, so why not soak up the moment?
  22. Find a suitable girl from Winnipeg for him and make it an environment that is challenging for him to depart. This approach has been successful with other players (and coaches). Or, less eloquently, baby trap the young chap.
  23. Bailey delivers a touchdown-making block! What an impressive performance from that outstanding gentleman, I must say.
  24. Unnecessary roughness on the end of that one
