  1. None of those guys are less that 175, Wilson didn't cover kicks, and during his time in edm Cobb didn't either. Gassama certainly won't. the aver db is 175-185, let alone those who are on kick coverage.
  2. whos the last db you saw that was 170 lbs or under 175?
  3. at 5ft9 170 he not blocking anyone, or covering on kickoffs. Likely hes a practice roster guy
  4. I'm not sure that Cobb moves the needle at all, he's at best a back up punt returner, as a receiver he's not the type of receiver that Zac likes to throw to. I know Walters said we would be more active in free agency, but Id hoped it was for some impact players
  5. Walters/bombers are at a big disadvantage with the anchor that is Collaros contract. The majority of teams have at least 175k extra to compete for free agents. If more than one team is competing for a free agent ie Stubblefield we will not get them. Have to wonder if the Lawler situation is handcuffing him as well
  6. on offence..wr ..lawler hasnt been signed yet, but hollins hatcher lewis all avail. I also like Kiondre smith (a nat but very good) then theres Mcewan, Couture, Cage Mckellar on oline on defence Stubblefield, Amos, Webb, even Adeleke and Cox could help
  7. Still a number of recievers out there, has any import reciever been signed yet?
  8. good chance that's why they also released Hatcher today before his bonus was due
  9. Seeing as the argos have lost Ormilade, Ceresna, Holley, Brinkman and Smith this offseason, maybe we can trade them Jake Thomas
  10. Did Hervey wake up this morning and rub his hands together....this is the day I scr*w the Argos?
  11. and they still have Fajardo, hes still a starting caliber qb
  12. I can just hear all the marketing money going thru the cash register
  13. you guys are right of course, i should have said Smith, and Korte so 7 starting cdns Metchie, Beard, Julien Grant. Gittens, Boyko, Smith and Ford - still a huge improvement
  14. Metchie, Beard, Julien Grant. Gittens, Ivy, Brinkman and Ford - doesnt get much stronger than that for cdn talent (is Toronto holding a yard sale?) Mcmanis is gonna look around and say "who the h*** are these guys around me?"
  15. Edmonton just needs to sign Ceresna and they have 3/4 of the argo dline. (kinda forcing argos hand to sign ceresna with Ormilade gone as well )
  16. Zac doesn't flourish under an average oline either, if we can't sign Lawler at a reasonable amount that's where we need to upgrade. Last year the coaches didn't seem to have any confidence in the olines ability to run against a good dline ie the argos, and Zac was playing nervous because neither did he. Ill also pose the question of who would have more impact on winning Ceresna or Lawler .?
  17. ly we only had Lawler for 10 games, Shoen for 3, so hopefully Schoen will be able to cover that production. and we also had Josh Johnson for 10 games and Wheatfall for 7 Not exactly the strongest core.. Wilson really started producing after about 6 games. We now have Mitchell to cover off Wilson. If we don't sign Lawler we could look for a rookie again to come and be productive i which isn't uncommon around the league) and we would still be fine. Theres also a good chance that Wilson could return for the second half of the season. Personally I'd rather put that money into the oline or even towards Ford
  18. The playtime and performance bonuses could be significant Walters doesnt normally do this but in this case its good for both sides. Ottawa released Rhymes wonder if they make play for Lawler or Hollins
  19. I was going by 3dwn for the salary which might have been a mistake,,, is there a better source?(just asking) 13) Redha Kramdi, Winnipeg Blue Bombers (N) Hard money: $125,000 Maximum value: $139,000 A rare Canadian starter at strongside linebacker, Kramdi’s unicorn status is reflected in his $86,200 salary and $25,000 signing bonus. The 27-year-old is also entitled to $13,800 for housing, as well as $1,000 for either form of all-star selection and $2,000 for a divisional or league award, with the ability to cash in up to three times at each level. so 86.2+25+13.8=124.8 hard money. ly he had 5 knockdowns (about middle of the pack in dbs, and 6 tackles for loss which was top 5)
  20. I guess these are just mirages...Winnipeg Blue Bombers Redha Kramdi 2024 Regular Season Highlights Winnipeg Blue Bombers Redha Kramdi 2023 Regular Season Highlights Im not saying hes an allstar, but hes not as bad as some make out (btw his salary is at 125K , only way he gets higher is by winning awards or allstar selections. Which is reasonable for cdn starter.)
  21. All Kramdl does is make plays, he improved every year. The thing is he doesn't miss that first step. I can't remember hardly any plays ly where a defensive breakdown occurred that you could point at him.As for losing 2 better cdns Ford is better than most in the entire league and saying Dobson is , questionable.
  22. Isiah Cage at ot would be a good add, or a cdn guard if we cant sign Dobson. WR will depend on Lawler/Shoen
  23. true enough , when cfl or 3down say "bold predictions" thats code for pie in the sky dreaming
  24. Walters should start flexing that dialing finger. I wonder who else becomes available before Feb 1 signing bonuses kick in
  25. now your anti thomas bias is having you just make up stuff ignoring any facts. Smeckle had 6 tackles despite getting a number of chances....6 to Thomas's 23! Thomas. is one of OSheas boys and Smeckle isn't far off. We need and should want a better alternative. Not signing Thomas just means wed have to sign another dlineman, wed save maybe 30k. Not even in the ball park of what it would take to sign Ford. No way do we let that stand in the way of signing Ford if it comes down to that. Also there is always the option if we do need to cut for salary cap reasons to get a player we need we still can. (or if we are able to draft a better option.)
