  1. It was a conditional 7th I believe Yes, a conditional 7th round in 2017. If you are talking about the 2nd overall pick (our first round pick), we used it in the supplemental draft to grab Garrett Waggoner. So it wasn't a wasted or traded pick, we just picked a player early. Will take a couple of years before we really know if it was wisely used or not.
  2. $25M + $100M loan to be read by a facility fee over the next 30 years. So not really that much different then the Bomber plan, we just have a loan rather then facility fee, I think the original Bomber plan was to pay an $80M loan after the sale of the old stadium for retail and property taxes on that location to cover another $100M.
  3. Now you can
  4. Should be able to figure out most of that when they release their annual report. Usually in April.
  5. Here is an interesting site that tries to adjust players points over the eras to compensate for things like differences in schedules, roster sizes, and the scoring of the time. http://www.hockey-reference.com/leaders/points_adjusted_season.html Hawerchuk is rated 43rd. Doan is rated 78. Still a fine career for Doan to be in the top 100.
  6. I don't think there is much of a comparison between Hawerchuk and Doan, I think Hawerchuk was by far the better talent. But you also can't really compare the stats between the two. Different eras. No one puts up numbers like they did in Hawerchuk's time.
  7. For future reference, if I say Site Backup it means I'm talking about the daily backups that we take. If I say Site Back Up, then it has the context displayed in this thread.
  8. You can't compare the output of two players to one. They take two roster spots. Gretzky takes one. What about the "other" player the Kings got to ice because they had Gretzky?
  9. Just shows you how stacked Edmonton was back then. You really think the primary focus of this deal wasn't $15M in cash?
  10. I'm glad the site is back up but it was a maddening couple of days. Checking constantly to see if the site was up and (the useless) updates from the hosting company. Frustrating when there is nothing to do but wait. I now have a plan on where I will be moving to. It probably won't happen for a few months as we are current prepaid until May.
  11. A new franchise would have to start playing next year for Pav to be expansion bait.
  12. So if we take the Jets 1.0 history, what happens to the Thrashers history? Do the current Jets lose their franchise stats from Atlanta?
  13. Trade Pav and retain $1M this year $2M next year of his salary. He becomes an attractive backup at $2M cap hit. Just need a playoff team to get an injury to a starting goalie in about a months time.
  14. As I understand it, Tampa Bay retained $1.6M of his $4.8M salary when he was traded to Arizona (and then Arizona flipped him to Philly), so his cap hit is around $3.2M. This is the last year of his deal. 2 goals 3 assists in 18 games this year. 15 goals 26 assists in 81 games last year.
  15. Good to know we can at least make the mortgage payment in a Grey Cup year.
  16. It had looked like Evander was trying to turn over a new leaf in Buffalo. http://www.diebytheblade.com/2015/12/19/10625918/evander-kane-continues-to-do-good-in-buffalo-charity
  17. Yeah, I started posting updates to it yesterday. Mike is usually the one who runs the Twitter account and it honestly never even occurred to me until yesterday to use it to send out updates.
  18. http://morningbigblue.com/community/topic/9375-site-back-up/
  19. I apologize for the extended outage. It seems the company that provides the hosting for the website had some major problems over the last few days. A 5 day outage is really not acceptable and I will probably be looking to move the site to a new hosting company in the new year.
  20. He is listed under the staff of the Winnipeg Jets True North Foundation here: http://jets.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=75794
  21. He has grossed a total of around $1.5M over the last 4 years (less taxes, agent fees, etc). It depends if he wants to keep playing football for $100k - $200k Canadian ($70k - $150k American and dropping) or is ready to move on to the next chapter of his life, whatever that may be.
  22. Account settings have now been fixed.
  23. Twitter sign on has been reconfigured. I've disabled Facebook for now. It seems neither of the Twitter or Facebook authentications recognized the website after the upgrade so I had to re-register the website through their developer portals. Facebook has changed drastically to the point where I would apparently now need to create step by step instructions and screenshots for their staff on how Facebook would be used through the website. (and maybe so they can test it?) . Twitter was relatively easy with a few configurations back and forth ... not sure when I'm going to get to Facebook unless there is a large demand for it.
  24. I've logged a support ticket with the company that made the theme. Will update when I get a fix for it.
  25. We do have $30M in cap space next year but that is with Ladd, Scheifele, Armia, Halischuk, Buff, Trouba, Pardy, and Hutch off the books. Have to remember if we sign Ladd to $6M per season, that is only an extra $1.5M cap hit because he already eats up $4.5M, not like you have to add the whole 6 in. For arguments sake, lets say we sign all those guys (pure guesses on Schefele and Trouba - their contract really depends on length) .... so Ladd $6M, Scheifele $4M, Armia $1.5M, Halischuk $1M, Buff $8M, Trouba $3.5M, Pardy $1M, Hutch $2M would be $27M and put us pretty close to the cap.
