In regards to Vaccine passports, how long are those required to enter public spaces? What do you end up doing to people who can’t be vaccinated due to other health concerns? if you are fully vaccinated, with its high efficacy rate, does it really affect you that much if you are in a space with unvaccinated people? People who can be vaccinated need to get off their ass and get vaccinated

Just a reminder that a play like, that is after the whistle and can not even be considered a "hockey play", for a repeat offender in the regular season warrants no suspension and only a $5,000 fine. https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nhl/news/tom-wilson-suspension-timeline-history-fines-capitals-penguins-zach-aston-reese/k3plwl8lfkot11flpw7ah3yf7

I wonder if this is a creative way to get the club some money to bridge them through a lost season + without the political back lash that came up when there was discussions about subsidizing the CFL last summer.

There is a whole section dedicated to it in the online store. https://www.thebomberstore.com/grey-cup/

I've seen some billboards around the city. Suspect those aren't hugely successful to people who have already made up their mind against them, but it is never a bad thing to have those things mentioned and mentioned often.

Only merged if the posts are made by the same person and no one else has posted since. Pulling this out into its own thread. Curious what everyone's thoughts are on this.

It only merges if they are made within 5 minutes of each other. My question would be why are people creating so many posts within that timeframe that need to be separate?

CFL can’t afford to donate money to campaign contributions and kickback some of those funds.

I'm not claiming I'm immune to this either, but to say one party is more corrupt then the other will often follow whatever party line you subscribe to. People will tend to excuse and put less scrutiny on the things the party they support does, and will even see many of the things they do as somewhat justified as it supports an ideology they subscribe to anyway, where as the things "the other party" does will be magnified much worse because not only are they corrupt, but they are corrupt in doing things that one generally opposes from the very start. The stink the liberals left after the Chretien and Paul Martin era is what led to Harper being in power for as long as he was. The stink that Harper left in his time in power has now paved the way for Trudeau to do what he is doing. Give it another term or two, and / or a viable leader in the opposition, and the winds will change again. The wheels of corruption will continue to turn.... Thank god no one party is in power in perpetuity as the longer they are, the things they do seem to get worse and worse. (not jaded at all)

They will add more commercials now that they have a captive audience.

Lets not forget about Dubois Wheeler would have to waive his no move clause, otherwise we have to protect him.

Interesting article in The Athletic today grading the trade. Won't post it all, because it is behind a paywall. But one thing that was mentioning is that Dubois was in their their recent top 100 players and Laine was not. Here is how they grade this trade for both teams: Custance: Columbus: A- Jets: B+ Luszcyzyn - Columbus: B Jets: A- Pronman - Columbus: B+ Jets: B- They love Laine's goal scoring, which is a rare commodity. But his defensive play can be a liability. If we get Dubois from the playoffs last year, will have the centre depth with Scheifele and Dubois that teams dream about. Trade will ultimately come down to which team can sign who in the long term and which player can thrive with their new teams. https://theathletic.com/2341048/2021/01/23/nhl-trade-winnipeg-jets-columbus-blue-jackets-laine-dubois/

https://theathletic.com/2316763/2021/01/11/sharks-evander-kane-bankruptcy/ Rest is behind the paywall, so can't quote, but he owes a bunch of people, lost $1.5M in the last year gambling. His income right now is minus $90k per month, and will be getting a reduced salary with the Covid season. Tough times for our friend Evander.

Merging it makes no sense with the size of the threads. We'll lock it after the 20th if people keep posting in it,

Enjoyed this documentary and underscores the importance of pro-actively looking for the full story on news events and not trusting single sources and random tweets in this day and age, which very few people will do. The internet was "supposed" to bring everyone together and connected, but AI/ML optimized for "hits" and views for advertising puts people in bubbles and further apart. And with people seeing custom and tailored messaging / news, they become all the more incredulous that "the other side" could think the things they do, assuming everyone is getting the same news / information.

Any chance CJOB would have the original radio broadcast to sync the play by play to? -

They should release this. I would pay for it. Raise some money for the club in a time of need. -
I wonder what 20% of Weather.com is biased, and biased against what?
