  1. You keep saying that, but you of course understand why people are skeptical and don't believe you. Despite claiming to be a Bomber fan for 40 years, you first sign up to the site during the Vegas series, first with a Vegas avatar and now a knight avatar. What a coincidence that in the 5 years this site has been running you magically found it during the Vegas / Jets series. Also of all your posts. 2 (7.5%), have been in the Bomber section, referencing of all things, Dominique Davis (the 2nd post was of course to clarify that the first post was only a joke). The rest have been about Jets / Vegas. Not even a peep from you on the big Adam Bighill news today. Actions speak louder then words. You certainly don't even need to be a Bomber fan to post here. Just don't lie about it and make ridiculous posts disguising ignorance as trolling. There are examples of fans who post here who are fans from other teams than what the majority support, you could take a lesson from them.

  3. Post one off topics and discussion for the league here.
  4. Physicals are today. Training camp opens tomorrow. Fair to say the off season is done and we should move on from that thread.
  5. I wish. Maybe I should be looking for some kick backs.
  6. There are for sure articles dedicated to the advanced stats, and I do enjoy reading some of those, but there are other news stories and reporting. Pierre LeBrun has recently been doing a lot of Jets articles since we are down to the final 4. Last articles in the Jets section since May 13: By the numbers: Which non-playoff teams can emulate the Jets success by being patient? From subtle to spectacular, Nate Schmidt does it all as Golden Knights -- and Schmidt -- continue to surprise LeBrun: Vegas thinks fast, alters approach, and the Western Conference final just got a lot more interesting Is Nik Ehlers really slumping? Does it matter? LeBrun: Jets ridiculous defensive depth leaves a now-healthy Dmitry Kulikov on the sidelines Dustin Byfuglien is the hard-hitting, fun-loving heart and soul of the Jets In the Tkachuk family, it's Chantal who is 'the captain of the house' Golden Knights fall in Game 1 to a Jets team which stands as their greatest challenge yet LeBrun: After a titanic struggle with Nashville, Jets are 'men versus boys' in Game 1 victory over Vegas Out of the 8, 2 of those articles would be heavily stat based.
  7. Subscribed to The Athletic over the winter for hockey content. Highly recommend it. The research and effort they put into articles is something I haven't seen in newspapers .... ever. Never thought I'd actually pay for news, but happy to pay for quality. Hope they can do the same for CFL coverage this summer.
  8. True. Not going to be able to keep everyone.
  9. It all depends on term, you can't just look at the annual value. If the Jets want to lock him up for 8 years, I could see it going to $8M. Jets are going to want to keep some cap room open through especially with Laine, Morrissey, Connor coming up. So I think the term will be lower.
  10. Rookie camp schedule is out
  11. Hamilton putting him in the $8M range.
  12. I think it will be more. $6.5 - 7+, but it will depend on term. If you look at similar defencemen who signed for 6 year deals after their ELC the same year that Trouba did his 2 year @ $3M bridge deal: Lindholm 6 years @ $5M Ristolainen 6 years @ $5.4M Jones 6 years @ $5.4M 4 years @ $6.5M would bring him about "even" in total dollars had he signed a similar deal to those guys. So I think that is the minimum. If you want to sign him for more term, price will go up. Trouba's points totals against those guys was down last year, but he was hurt a bunch. All top pairing guys on their team. Then again Chevy pulled off some magic signing Scheifele and Ehlers to the contracts they are on, so if he can get Trouba long term @ $6M, I would be ecstatic.
  13. Will still come down to a huge pay day I think.
  14. Why wouldn’t they play in IGF when the Bombers will own the team.
  15. Not a random nest item. There is a thread for it.
  16. Lets get this thread back to Random News Items. @Atomic , @The Unknown Poster please take the sub-discussion to PMs.
  17. I think it happens more often than that. Right off the top of my head, Okpalaugo signed with the Bombers after his NFL stint.
  18. The signing bonus is put in to protect players from being brought into training camp as competition or a camp arm only. It is a commitment from the club to the player that we want you on the team and here is salary up front to prove that. Players complaining about being cut prior to being paid a bonus should ask if they prefer no bonus and get cut later in the season with no chance to sign with another team. The only way around that is guaranteed contracts. Don't like what Durant did here and don't like how he is handling this on Twitter now. Really makes me wonder if this wasn't his plan all along.
  19. https://globalnews.ca/news/4204588/distracted-drivers-texters-liable/ This is ridiculous.
