  1. Apparently it is Ryan Strome
  2. Locking this thread to move the discussion here
  3. I don't think Toby waives without the Jets telling him that they would make a deal for him not to be picked. This deal is really to keep Lowry / Perreault / Armia. I suspect they would have been fine with losing Dano, but with moving down 11 spots, they got Vegas to take no players from them. Chevy might have underestimated Vegas' interest in Enstrom.
  4. Thorbs is a UFA. He was going somewhere else if anyone would sign him next year anyway. No guarantee Vegas even signs him.
  5. That sucks. We lose Thorbs! What? Can't wait to see what the larger trade is.
  6. So we only get part of the picture tonight.
  7. A reminder to those who signed up to set your roster for the upcoming week. For those who would like to join, follow this link: https://fantasy-api.cfl.ca/en/league_invitation?league_id=339&code=6483bdb1-2a7c-48a4-bd85-bc2049bad1e0
  8. There isn't a straight answer on this. They had an ex GM or agent or whatever on TSN 1290 to answer this question last night. When a player waives, he has the option of waiving all together (removing it from the contract), or waiving it only for the one transaction. It isn't clear which way Toby went. So, if Toby only waived to go to Vegas, and it sticks with the contract, this may be a reason they don't pick him as he would then have to waive again if they wanted to trade him at the deadline.

  10. He will be 41 at the start of next season. How many more contracts are they supposed to give him?
  11. http://3downnation.com/2017/06/19/slave-nate-behar-doesnt-sound-happy-esks-offer/ Behar not happy, says he is a slave. Edmonton has pulled their original offer of 77k off the table. Apparently league minimum is now on the table with the agent (Hardaway) trying to get him back up to 70k with bonuses. Having these rookies skip their first training camp is not helping anyone and probably hindering their career development. I'm wondering when these players will stop hiring Hardaway as their agent.

  13. When you think that we didn't need to protect Morrissey, Ehlers, or Laine, Jets really lucked out with the timing of the expansion draft.
  14. Not that surprising when Dano was a healthy scratch by the end of the season and Copp wasn't Third team to "give up" / trade / make Dano available in his short career Makes you wonder why
  15. Protected lists are available. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl-reveals-protection-lists-ahead-of-expansion-draft-1.782246 Jets:
  16. Yep. I can see how people vote. Just like last year, starting in Week 2, I will publish a spreadsheet that will get updated each week after the deadline. So you can see week to week how people voted, where you are in the standings, and even confirm I entered your picks correctly (click on the games link at the bottom of the spreadsheet) . Here is what it looked like last year.
  17. The MBB Pick 'Ems contest is back for 2017. Pick your winners for the games each week. 1 correct pick = 1 point. $50 Bomber Store gift certificate will be given to the person with the most correct picks after the Grey Cup. Picks must be made before the start of the first game each week. The poll will be closed at that time. If you miss the deadline, I will accept picks through PM for games that have not yet started. Picks for Week 1 need to be in by Thursday, June 22 @ 6:30PM. Good Luck!

  19. So with the Canadian teams, that's 11 - 14 home games. Throw in another 10 - 15 for hardcore American fans in the stronger hockey markets. What about the other half of the home games? What about in 3 - 4 years when Vegas is no longer a novelty and people decide they aren't making the trip every year. It is great Vegas is a destination city, and vacationers will certainly help attendance, but for the franchise to truly be successful, they need to make an impact and get a following locally. Playoff revenue is huge for teams to make money. Lets say the Jets and Knights face each other in a playoff series a number of years down the road. Are a significant number of people going to pay $200+ a ticket here AND travel to see the team in Vegas. Not likely. They are going to need support from the locals.
  20. I believe Fleury waived because he wants to be a starter on a team more then specifically helping the Penguins
