Would be a mistake if this is what they did. TV PBP doesn't always translate well to radio, and losing the "home team" flare to the broadcast would turn listeners off, not even factoring in games that Rod Black calls.

Have to give 1290 credit for the new weekly Bauming show they added. I'd have no problems with the radio rights moving to 1290. Would imagine the morning and afternoon shows would both get regular spots with whoever the new PBP guy is.

If you check out the extremes of both parties on Twitter, it is amazing how both sides can watch the same hearings and both draw polar opposite conclusions of what happened, and who is vindicated.

Not just an NHL problem, look at all those sports, most are trending older. It is a generational problem. TV in general is in trouble. Most young people don't watch TV anymore. It is youtube, Snapchat, and whatever other social site of the day.

Added a poll to this thread. I'm sure there will be a group of people who do the Fantaseh pool, but that is limited in number of entrants. So thought I'd check how much interest there is in the TSN pool. One of my issues with the TSN pool as I understand it, is it is a salary / cap based pool, but they allow you to increase your cap for the number of people you refer into it. That just seems dumb to me. I don't want to have to hustle to find people to sign up or make a bunch of fake email accounts to be on a level playing field. If I have this wrong or you know of other options, let me know.

It looks like the simulator has us protecting the extra defenseman, so Perreault is available as well. Interesting that both Button and Seravelli passed on Perreault.

Expansion Draft will soon be upon us, time to resurrect this thread. TSN has released an expansion draft simulator, unfortunately it does not seem to be as good as the one the Cap Friendly has. You can't even choose what players teams will protect. I also think they might have under estimated the demand for this thing as it seems to be hit and miss if you an get it to work, so I can't even try and figure out who they have the Jets protecting. Teams do have a maximum number of contracts they can have and a maximum number of players in the system. You can't always sign a player just to see what happens. If you don't think a player is going to contribute, you can't just waste a contract on him. Either that, or he didn't like what he saw ahead of him in the Jets organisation and decided to take his chances elsewhere.
