  1. At the game?
  2. Myers out in the third with a "lower body injury".
  3. Something goofy with the way they embedded / linked the first pic. The 2nd one works fine.
  4. As of right now, we are in a wild card spot.
  5. An interesting article to see the Tweets going back and forth between John Cornish and Jeff Hecht. Lots of other CFL players chiming in to the election as well.
  6. You've been gone from Winnipeg for too long
  7. It has nothing to do with any small syndrome. Imagine the **** storm if a Toronto player had held out for the reasons Trouba stated. It would be the same **** storm if not bigger. No one is missing anything. This was Trouba's fall back plan all along, he wasn't going to miss a full year of play. They were playing chicken to see if Chevy would blink. He didn't, they moved on to part B of the plan. Part C of the plan will be to keep going to arbitration or re-sign for 2 years to get to UFA as quickly as possible. It would be nice if he suddenly decides to sign long term in Winnipeg, I wouldn't hold my breath on it. Chevy now has 4 years to decide if he wants to move an asset who won't sign long term and will probably walk for nothing.

  10. The important part will be what he says and asks for behind closed doors. It is unlikely he tells the media he is here to be traded even if he really is.
  11. At 27 years old or at 7 years in the league. You get arbitration rights after your 2nd contract.
  12. Minny had no choice with Dumba because of their cap situation They had no room to sign him to a 5-6M contracts The Jets do Those guys also didn't hold out for a made up reason. You really think Trouba has had a sudden change of heart? Or he doesn't want to lose a year of earnings and a year towards being a free agent If he wanted to be here long term, there are plenty of comparables to pull from.
  13. I think the fact that this is 2 years and not 6 years like every other comparable D-Man out there speaks volumes. Him and his agent did the right thing by not crapping on Winnipeg because if they had, this 2 year bridge deal wouldn't have turned out well for Trouba the next time he stepped on the ice. A smart agent knows he has no leverage after the ELC and this outcome was a real possibility, and they left that door open by claiming this was about playing the "right side".
  14. Yeah, not sure you trade Myers when you know that Trouba still doesn't want to be here long term. There is a reason Trouba signed a bridge and not a 6 year deal. Of course all that completely depends on what return you can get for Myers and / or Trouba.
  15. Trouba is only 2 years and both are RFA years, that is why it is less. Maata is over 6 years and includes UFA years in there. If it was a longer term deal, Trouba would have got more because you would be buying UFA years. What this basically means, is after this contract, if Trouba keeps on his current trajectory, you won't be getting him in the $5M range, it will be $6 - $8M range, depending on how he does.
  16. $25M PER year. $125M over 5 years.
  17. Have to hold down control and right click on it.
